IllaNotix spreads the word about their debut CD ''Killa Products'' featuring the single ''Mind of an Emcee''. Their unique sound captures the essence of Chicago with gritty,bass-heavy beats and a truthful,socially conscious,reality-based approach to the mic-yet they manage to have a good time along the way. Show stealing performances have garnered a huge following of loyal fans while their mix cds have kept the hood buzzing. The four member crew released their 16-track debut enhanced CD April 5 2005. The following summer,IllaNotix released the Mix CD All Sides All Mobs hosted by Public Enemy's Flavor Flav. In 2005 IllaNotix opened for the following acts: Twista, Ludacris, Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Ying Yang Twins, Krs-One, and Kool G rap. Their live performances have also included a number of community and fundraising events including serving as the main act for Tennessee Titan's Samari Rolle in 2004. The phenomenal response to their music in Chicago stores and among DJs has prompted a national promotion to let everyone hear IllaNotix. The group consist of Renegade Turtle Mak, Flow Assassin, Stevie Ali, and DJ/producer Big Burley who have been performing together since the early 1990's. All of the tracks on ''Killa Products'' are produced and arranged by Big Burley and Stevie Ali who combined to form the production team of "Lighthouse Sound Inc". The custom packaging of ''Killa Products'' alone makes this a unique item as IllaNotix bags up 1 lb. of trunk thump, 16 oz. of raw uncut lyrics, and several grams of potent dancehall vibes. Not to mention the production paved with live instrumentation and a few guest vocal appearances, most notably Chicago mainstay ''LongShot'' and new reggae sensation ''Nu Ras''. Now throw in the fact that the CD is enhanced with a video and you've got the best product to hit the streets in years. The debut CD delivers a sound that Stevie Ali describes as ''......Raw,totally original,true to the art,yet appealing to the average listener....'' IllaNotix is confident that their music attracts different audiences as demonstrated by their fan base.
