About me:

Information about the Queer, Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Transgender communities and services in the Illawarra and South Coast, New South Wales, Australia at www.illawarraqinfo.com How and why did we begin the webpage? Well a few of us got together in late 2006 because there was no useful info out their on the web for people needing info about the local gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender community especially as it related to Wollongong, Nowra, the Shoalhaven and South Coast. You could find out info for Sydney but trying to even find out something about Wollongong was a hopeless exercise and if you try Nowra, well just give up! And if you were coming out, OMG, how the hell did you find info when if you did a GOOGLE search about gay life in the Illawarra/South Coast you either got useless or no info! So we decided to change that by setting up a local website that tries to search out info for the local area but also having info for the general GLBT community - just incase they accidentally find our site lol. Who are we? Well just a group of people from the Illawarra trying to get info for our website and trying to keep updating the site on a regular basis. We decided that we would not become the focus of the website, as this kinda defeated the purpose of simply providing info for the GLBT community. So we just call ourselves the Illawarra Q Team as it is not about individuals but about getting info out there to members of the GLBT community. If you would LIKE TO HELP our work then if you find info that will help inform members of the Illawarra/South Coast/Shoalhaven about the GLBT community or GLBT issues and any EVENTS for the GLBT happening then send your info to mail@illawarraqinfo.com and we will publish all useful and appropriate info (yes sorry NO X rated lol), yes I know, sorry lol! In the twelve months to 1 December, 2007 we had 2669 visitors which we are proud of and we hope to beat that number in 2008 ..... yes, I know the count finished with 69 .... but we did not do that, the visitors did! OUR FRIENDS LIST - we love you all so you will notice that we change our TOP FRIENDS around from time to time so that we can acknowledge ALL our friends - thanks for the support! ..

    I have Backers muscular dystrophy do not know how long I have to live I'm trying to get million friends for Disabled Civil Rights cause goal and short video Added me to your top friends please. Goal to have the Supreme Court Olmstead decision 6 to 3 Law enforced and have community-based programs for all who qualify for med waiver and consumer directed care which will save the taxpayers approximately 50% and provide opportunities for jobs instead of having disabled institutionalized or a nursing home. Also the George W. Bush presidential Executive Order 13217.Which means it has been designated a nationwide problem! To be Moses for all disabled people to remove the yoke the burden on our disabled back and set disabled people free.Keep Rock 'n rolling on!

    Its been soo long since i have chated to you...

    just wondering if u seen me on TV

    i saved a life in sydney on austrlia day

    Just drivng home and found him on the side of the road.

    And well he was almost dead by the time i seen him laying there with a few people around him TRYING to help him.

    so me and my partner (work partner)... got out of the car and striaght into work.

    40 mins the ambulance arrived.

    and yeh

    He is now alive and well coz of quicky working and hard working members.

    About this page:
    I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this.

    just out of curiosity would you be open to suggestions that MAY make things more interesting between the IQIT and the community?

    i was thinking along the lines of an illawarraQinfo MSN HOTAMIL account, where people can add you and then when ever they can particapate in mass convo's ect.

    Or does somthing like that allready exhist?
