Tim shouts and screams Daz plays guitars Nashers on bass Denzil keeps on hitting things
Influences
Tims influences : early uk punk including clash, pistols and buzzcocks. American bands, the dead boys, new york dolls and the dictators is where my love for all things punk came from.
more modern bands like therapy?, kyus, gbh and early metalica are what i grew up with, moshing in the bedroom like a daft cunt!!
as long as its fast, raw and fuckin mental - i usually love it.
vocal influences come from cheap fags, too much weed n too many pills....
lyrical influences are a mix of all sorts from the doors through to joy division, dead kennedys, time on ma hands, overactive brain, a chequered past n plenty of fings to get of ma chest...
denz .. bullets and octane,sex and violence,rancid,operation ivy,the jam,wildhearts,therapy?,clutch,qotsa"with olivary",mondo generator,most likley to fail,shadowcops,gimpfist,keyside strike,fractions,the scabs,3 colours red,uproar,the feind,early foo fighters,bits o ska,bad manners,bad brains,fear,bad religion..upers downers and breakdowns a many.!
nasher...pantera,motley crue, gnr, rancid,gg alin n doin everythin to excess
daz....the clash, sex pistols, anti nowhere league, the ruts, tatooed mother fuckers!! uk subs!! the list is endless!! dave murray! buddy guy, john lee hooker!!!
2008 GIG REVIEWS
THATCHED HOUSE, STOCKPORT - Slit & Sawdust/Fungal Punk Review
'Ill Fated Riot next and they looked a trifle bemused after having watched the previous showcase of vulgarity. This is a band who I suspected that were full on for this and the recent CD held major promise. Little did I suspect what a fantastic performance was coming my way and the whole set was delivered with accuracy and passionate spirit - vital components in making punk rock meet the needs of the critical populace. The intro rammed it's head into the gut of the classic 'Let It Go' and from that moment onwards I knew the band were going to do the business. The set lacked any lows and one or two songs I was unfamiliar with promised to be of magnificent proprtions if the predicted recordings go to plan. 'Pirates' was class and the other stand outs were 'Shit On From A Great Height', 'Name And Number' and 'Anal A List'. Like I said there were no dead ducks here just a bevvie of quacking numbers (clever hey) and plenty of fuckin' bollocks. Concrete drums, smoothly controlled bass and guitar, and a lead guy who just fuckin' loves it and the band burned bright and I hope will blaze many a trail next year. It makes me feel good when I chance a band on a CD hearing and they prove to be be even better than I ever suspected and blow my mind clean apart. A big thanks - quality'!

THREE TUNS GIG, GATESHEAD 27/03/08 - Review
I am not personally the biggest fan of punk. however after the performance delivered by ill fated riot on Thursday night my opinion has been left different. I wasn’t sure what to ready myself for when these four guys took the stage, but they impeccably delivered a hard hitting, yet melodic, tight ass set of punk/rock music.
As far as an original band goes you will find yourself stretching to find anyone better than this band. From a rock solid drum performance to a near perfect vocal lesson from "Tim" I believe that ill fated riot will continue to astound audiences for as long as they continue to perform at this level.

REVIEW OF DOUGLAS VAULTS GIG, SOUTH SHIELDS
Ill Fated Riot, a 4 piece punk band littered in the
North East of England…
…who at stupidly short notice put on a
very good show when they played
The Douglas Vaults on Thursday 6th
March after only being booked 2 hours
before having to show up.
Not only did this show their passion for playing
but proved there is always a bunch of punks
to dig you out of a hole when you need them
On stage they showed great dedication in
there playing, combining a good blend
of pop, rock and punk, not like the wannabe
’Greendayers’ out there they have a heavier
feel to there music, remenicant of a punkier
"therapy?" which came through in a
very in your face manner.
Only a 4 piece, bass, drums, guitar and a front
man there sound was not thin at all, layered
with catchy up beat rythems and a good stage
presence these guys are a must have for any
venue

ILL FATED RIOT - Our original mission statement....
Original, Sleazy, Punk!!…..The basis of ill fAted riot and the ideal we created at the start of 2005. Cramped in a basement flat writing tunes which at first had no direction, gradually, it began to form, and mutate into the monster you see and hear now.
Hard, fast guitars, poignant, political and sometimes abusive lyrics, drumming that could melt the ears. The Punk /Thrash sound swallows up the diverse influences and experiences of the band and spits em’ out again via that magical medium of song.
Sounds Like
Dirty, sleazy, in yer face Rock n' Roll...What fuckin else???
RIOT' ARE CURRENTLY TAKING BOOKINGS AND LOOKING FOR GIGS ALL OVER THE UK FOR 2009. KEEP IT LIVE, KEEP IT PUNK!!!
2008 has been the crazyest year yet for Riot. A few line-up changes never even seemed to ruin the roll the band has been on since January 08. With a shedload of gigs played, we have travelled the length n breadth of the UK meetin some great bands and even better characters along the way. The year also saw us gettin signed up to a little southern label who will be handling all our gigs 'daaarn saaaaarf' this year and getting our tunes out to the masses. What seems like trillions of gigs played have given us a load of new venues which are gonna be on our list for the coming year. Check out our good friends Fungal Punk who have wacked 'Let it Go' on their new CD, so check em out and buy the fucka'. Keep an eye out for an onslaught of new tunage coming your way this year aswell including, a new ill fated riot CD and a compilation CD of all the stuff from the past includin live shit and demos, plenty of gigs are in the pipeline so here's to the fuckload of angry mutha fucking punk madness there is to be had in 2009.
2007 - A fuckin good and busy year for Riot, plenty of gigs, plenty of places...the summer festivals were definately the highlight and sales of debut e.p Care in the Community going well. With the band settled into regular gigs, writin plenty of new material and with lots of new ideas Riot went into freefall...by the end of the summer, gigged out and fuckin partied out, offers of Radio slots and gigs all over the UK, ill fAted riot contemplated the future.
Three totally mental years were finally topped off by recordin the last sessions with the long standing Riot line-up at White Wolf Studios.
The sessions were to produce a second CD which was, coincidently entitled 'Desperate Times'. Without really plannin it, the band had begun to slip from their 'sudo-punk' roots and produce songs like 'Stupid' and the almost anthem'like 'Shit on from a great height' although 'Riot' shine through with the aggressive and political tones of Name & Number and Let it Go.
Riot played their last gig with founder members Daz and Matt in December 07 and as 2008 began, welcomed new guitarist Danny Boy who was closely followed by Dukes and bass player Ian and then a short stint on guitar from Dan number 2 who joined us from our good mates Whiplash. The line-up changes this year have been pretty hard to keep up with but we have played over 100 successfull shows around the UK this year all to excellant response. After our mini tour this summer we again parted company with more of our musical friends and after extensive searchin, this time for members a bit more perminant we now have the mighty Nasher on the Bass guitar and, after leaving US Indie Chart toppers, The Conspiritors we welcome back founder member Daz returning on guitar with a bucketload of new ideas.
The band are giggin extensively around the UK and based at Riot HQ, (cheers to the Tap n Spile for rehearsal space and beer), always working on new songs, recording and honing our setlist. Be sure to give us a shout, check the gig dates, comment on the tunes and spread the word. New tunes will be uploaded all the time, sometimes demo's and sometimes the finished song. Your comments are always read and appreciated.
