I took an interest in writing at an early age, composing my first poem when I was just eight years old. It wasn’t until 2001 I began keeping copies of my work and since then I’ve written more than two hundred poems. In the last four years, 44 of my poems have appeared in magazines and on the internet. I started ILLOGICAL MUSE in 2004 and tried to make it in print in 2008 but due to lack of funds and resources it has returned to being an ezine located at http://illogicalmuse.blogspot.com.
Besides writing, I also enjoy drawing and photography, but these are hobbies whereas poetry is something I really have a passion for. Most of the photos are taken on outdoor excursions (I love taking long walks and I always take a camera along) and the best ones are available here in my photo albums or on my blog at http://amberrothrock.blogspot.com. My drawings are usually characters or scenes from the stories I write as well as wildlife sketches.
I’m currently unemployed after spending three years in the janitorial industry. On the upside, I have more time for poetry. I have plans to attend college and study veterinary science. I’m a big animal lover and volunteer as much as I can with the Humane Society. My other interests include yoga, spirituality, muscle cars, hiking, fishing, billiards and watching too much YouTube.
Who I'd like to meet: Open-minded individuals who have a passion for the creative arts and aren't afraid to express themselves in the manners they see fit. People who bare their teeth as well as their souls!
