ILLRECEIVED have been playing to crowds in the Christchurch area of New Zealand since 2002. A favourite support act for touring bands coming down from the North Island. ILLRECEIVED have already evolved from a progressively fast punk rock group similar to great bands such as Pennywise, with songs of having fun, seizing the day, to developing a sound that is uniquely ILLRECEIVED, incorporating a mix of punchier punk rock riff, and an element of hardcore punk. There is something you will find with ILLRECEIVED however. They now leave pleasantries at the door. No songs about love, broken hearts. Only songs that have real meaning, with topics such as capitalism, war, suicide, their storytelling style is one that is worth listening to.
Still with only one New Zealand tour under their belt, ILLRECEIVED have yet to reach the masses of people that are looking for a voice in this world that we live in today. One thing is for certain. They will continue touring, they will continue reaching those that need reaching. They will be heard.
