illRoots.com was founded in January, 2007 by Mike Waxx from Connecticut and KINGGS from Pennsylvania. Originally planned to just be a hip-hop message board, they decided that their love and knowledge of the music and it's culture should be expressed in a blog. During this time, they signed a new writer to the team, Hallway Jay, and since then its been history. Over onne million hits later, illRoots is now placed at number eleven in The Top 40 Hip Hop Blogs. Having conducted interviews with the likes of Paul Wall, Blu & Exile, Flo Rida, and Mick Boogie among others, illRoots has even bigger plans for 2008.
