Be on the look out for all NEW, "Crowd Moving", ILL VALLEY Live Performances!!! ILL VALLEY PRODUCTIONS was created and founded by Kahokule'a (Hoku) Haiku in 2001. Hoku is a Kamehameha Schools graduate, born on the Island of Oahu and raised on the Island of Maui (The Valley Isle). He is currently residing on Oahu's North Shore, surfing and making music. His first CD entitled "Seeds and Stems", was released on May 26, 2006. It immediately created a buzz in the Hawai'i Hip Hop scene, with hit songs like "Old School Toyota" and "Seeds and Stems". On March 15, 2007, the second CD entitled "ILL VALLEY" was released. The full length album once again features Hoku's original laid back "talk story lyrics" and Modern Day Native Hawaiian Perspective. It is based on his real life experiences growing up in the Hawaiian Islands. From the grass shacks to the tourist traps. Hawaiian bracelets, pitbulls, lifted trucks and bonfire beach parties blended with a slight political undertone. That is what separates the trend setting "ILL VALLEY" CD from the pack. Hoku Haiku was nominated for a Na Hoku Hanohano Award in 2008. The instant island classic "Old School Toyota," was met with praise by rap critics island wide and on the Mainland. The song was chosen "Hawaiian Homegrown Pick" on 102.7fm in 2007. Several songs have received Radio airplay (102.7fm, Stone Groove Radio, 93.9fm, Mind Tactics Show, KTUH Radio, Monday Night Live) and Television airplay (Boardstories TV, Billabong Surf TV, Dis-N-Dat TV, Local Motion "Surf into Summer" TV commercial). Including live performances with Recording Artist such as Barrington Levy, Eek A Mouse, Tanya Stephens, Marlon Asher, Natural Vibes, and Ooklah the Moc. Also, many live performances at venue's such as The Shack Waikiki, Dave and Busters, Don Ho's, Kualoa Ranch, Fashion 45, Hawaiian Hut, O Lounge, Boardriders, Cassanovas, Tsunami's, Anna Bannanas, Red Lions, Breakers, Onstage Bar, Kainoa's Bar, and many backyard parties.
