His new album 'Demis' is an inveterate rocker's album that calls to mind the legendary hits of his late sixties band 'Aphrodite's Child' ("Rain and Tears," "It's Five O'Clock") as well as the current British rock-soul revival.
Supported by the young musicians of Little Barrie and Dirty Feel, Demis will tour after the summer, kincking with a first concert in February, in Paris's Grand Rex, followed by a world tour.
Demis Roussos compte parmi les grandes voix qui, au crépuscule des années 60, composent la bande-son de toutes les révolutions du moment et rêvent avec ferveur d’un autre monde. Son nouvel album est un album radicalement rock, essentiellement composé par le jeune français Picci, qui évoque autant les tubes légendaires de son premier groupe Aphrodite’s Child (Rain and Tears, It’s Five O’Clock, I Want to Live, End Of The World, etc) que le revival soul-rock britannique d’aujourd’hui. Accompagné en studio et sur scène par les jeunes musiciens de Little Barrie et Dirty Feel, il commencera sa tournée par un concert au Grand Rex en février.
