I am a jewelry designer and I own my own business. I make and sell Swarovski Crystal and Thai and Sterling Silver jewelry. My business is named "LIZARD DESIGNS" after myself of course. It was named something else but I had to make some changes. Turns out that name was already taken and people got confused.
I am an avid birder. Probably the dorkyest thing about me but I embrace it. I make it a point to go on at least one birding adventure per week. With summer here so comes with it the breeding season. I have quite a few nests staked out and I saw my first Least Tern Chicks this year. Wowsers! Lately I have been going to Bolsa Chica about twice a week to check on my nests and chicks. I should start paying rent there.
I changed my mind, I must say that I am in a relationship. Mitch & I are pretty inseparable. I might even have to stop calling him my bitch. Oh, who am I kidding. That will never happen, we have a love affair! Oh yeah, Mitch is my macbook btw for those of you who aren't in the know.
On a serious note, my life has been interesting lately. I have had some crazy music binges in the past few weeks. Currently I am in the middle of a U2 & Killers binge as you can tell by my playlist and videos. Who knows whats coming next. Times are interesting to say the least.
I keep having naughty dreams about someone I maybe shouldn't (or should I?). To make it more interesting I see the person randomly and then I get guilty thoughts and eat lots of potatoes (I'm strange I know). This has been the main focus of my past few weeks. So much for studying! What? Study? Huh? I need a potato.
I have been making some major changes in my life recently as those who know me have heard and helped me deal with. But seriously, I am starting to focus on me now rather than making everyone else happy all the time.
Despite my overwhelming abundance of goods I am not the slightest bit superficial. I have so much stuff that I really dont need and I know I would be a lot happier without it all. I'm actually going to sell/give it all away soon. I would much rather wear my Sunken City sweatshirt with some ratty jeans and my $10 Nepali purse than designer clothes and a Louis Vuitton. It's really not all it's cracked up to be. Save your money people.
I Love to travel but I wish I could do it more. I used to love spending my weekends on Catalina Island and at my family home in Big Bear. Now I get island fever and the cabin is always cold. I need to be in hot climates at all times. My Cambria & Big Sur trip is by far my favorite getaway. I go at least once a year.
I just got a new MK5 Jetta so now I am in a VDUB gang- yeah you heard me! We are rolling 4 deep right now but I am always looking for more peeps to jump in (gets em every time). Next up we are going to get us some Vespas so we can roll in those sweet little things.
Everything I own is covered in Swarovski Crystal. Everything. I am not even kidding. I even sparkled my car emblems. My friends say I have a problem, I call it boredom when finals are over.
Despite some girly things I do (like sparkle things) I really am the biggest tomboy ever. I hate wearing makeup. I never wear dresses or skirts (thanks to a famous incident). My wardrobe is usually jeans and a t-shirt or tank top and a sweater. That really is all I own. I don't like fancy shoes. I live in my Vans, Birkinstocks and Uggs.
I love Ebay and I buy and sell everything there. I want my own Ebay store but I am too lazy to set one up.
As much as I hate wasting money on fancy things I am hooked on premium denim. My favorites are 7FAMK and R&R. When it comes to jeans I dont own much else. Its my only splurge. My favorite cuts are Sigs and Kurts but I have a couple As, Kates and Motleys.
There are two reasons I will never go traveling east of the Rockies: Home & Our Town. I will avoid hillbillies at all costs because frankly, they scare me. Damn you CC for killing dream to travel cross country! It was over as soon as they aired.
Despite my fear of hillbillies, I want to have my own ranch one day at my family home in New Mexico. I will call it Rancho Pequeno, where I will have miniature horses, pygmy goats and alpacas with two big Tibetan Mastiffs to guard my wee ones.
I am a total beach bum. I own as many bikinis as jeans. Sand is a permanent accessory in my car. I am always in RAT, Redondo, HB, Laguna, The 'Bu (hahahaha), Hermosa, MB, and Bolsa Chica. Dont forget the Dog Beach!
I think I am allergic to cold weather. Warm climates are so much more tolerable for me. I wear my Uggs whenever the temp goes below 70. I love my Uggs but I hate when other people wear them. I don't know why.
I love my longhair chihuahua Hell and my beautiful kitty BabyGirl. They are my kids. I will do everything in the world for my critters. BabyGirl and I even have our own song. Don't laugh! My little ones are my life. They are the only reason I am not living it up in Hawaii right now. But I still love them more than anything.
I was in a car accident several years ago and had to quit school and I just started back. I crave knowledge like its pinkberry. I would be a professional student if I could.
Truly I am a food lover. Potatoes are my favorite food group. I really do eat and eat and eat all day. When I have company over I am constantly trying to feed them because I feel awkward when I am the only one eating. It drives people crazy sometimes but I cant help myself.
I am just glad I am finally able to get back to school and life. Getting back to life in Pedro, a place I have learned you can never escape.

they actually knock? that's cool. jays are among my favorite birds to see. i have been fortunate enough to see the Florida-scrub, Western-scrub, Clark's Nutcracker, Steller's, Black-billed Magpie, and of course Blue Jay. would love to add the Island-scrub Jay to this list. have you had any chances of getting out to Catilina Island near where you are?
