I don't know why I'm so obsessed with Joan Bennett. I think it was because she's an enigma to me; she was reserved until she really knew someone and then would allow them in (which is also how I am), and she was always very discreet about her own and her friends' and family's history. She was a good mother to her 4 daughters-----very loving and nurturing. She was also obsessively neat and orderly with her housekeeping (which I am definitely NOT!). She was a gracious and kind lady that I would have loved to have as a close friend.
Joan Bennett movies: "Secret Beyond the Door" is my favorite so far. I'm trying to find all of them and watch them.
