I have also written songs for other artists including the late Grand Ole Opry artist, BILLY WALKER as well as for LISA CAMPBELL MEADOWS and Germany's popular country artist, HERMANN LAMMERS MEYER. I have recorded duets with Lisa Campbell Meadows, Hermann Lammers Meyer and with famous Nashville bluegrass artist, RONNIE RENO. About me:
I have been writing songs all of my life and commercially recording music since the early 1970's with my first commercial album release on MRC Records in 1972. In the mid-1970's I recorded for the famed 'D' Record label out of Houston, TX, owned by the legendary country music producer, H. "Pappy" Daily. This label, a leading talent development label in the southwest helped launch some of the most notable country talents including George Jones, George Strait, Floyd Tillman, Eddie Noack, Willie Nelson, and many others. In those days releases were two-sided 45 r.p.m. (singles) vinyl discs. All of the 'D' artists and songs (including mine) are presently available in box sets re-released by Bear Family Records within the past couple of years out of Germany. My recordings are in volume 6 of the box sets along with George Strait's, Bob Chestnut's (Mark Chesnut's father), and others... 113 songs or so in the box set along with a history book that includes a nice pictorial history of my time and career with 'D' Records. Presently, I have one out-of-print CD, "The Big 16 Pack," a "best-of" production that picked up my earliest releases for re-release. I have four CDs presently in print including: "SONGS OF THE HEART, HEAVEN AND HOME;" THE FATHER AND THE SON: Telling The Gospel Story;" "CASTLES AND CROWNS;" and "SOMETHING OLD..NEW..BORROWED..BLUE." A new CD is presently in production that will include 21 songs. The new CD is slated for release soon and will be entitled, "LOOKIN' DOWN THE ROAD."
