Interests

  • General

Dancing (clogging, hip hop, and contemporary), horseback anything, thick books with good plots, goofing off at the barn with my best buds (we're the three musketeers, but girls), plain vanilla ice cream, and working on the novel that, some day, I WILL get published (fingers crossed!)...
  • Music

I love country (has always been my no. 1), but I listen to almost anything. Quite like Linkin Park, Paramore, Pitbull, Lady GaGa, Shinedown, Nickelback... Lots of the stuff that is played on the local Top 40 radio station, and on Sirius XM Radio. As long as I'm not being asked to listen to crazy screaming emo music, I'm good. :D I was also raised on The Beatles and The Beach Boys, as well as Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, and other various classics...
  • Movies

Lord of the Rings, Tremors, Harry Potter, Twilight, The Mummy, and Eragon, in that order. I also really enjoy the more action-oriented movies like Windtalkers, Mel Gibson's The Patriot, and Dances with Wolves. M. Night Shyamalan's movies are also among my faves, especially The Village. Lol, first time I watched that, I was peeking out from under the covers the whole movie... ;D ..
  • Television

I don't really watch TV much. I love watching RFDTV, RFDTV standing for Rural Free Delivery Television. It started a long time ago when people first got the idea to deliver mail to the 500+ and 1000+ acre ranches way out in the boondocks. And, now, it is the lifeblood of farm and ranch television. I also enjoy other channels like Animal Planet, Discovery, National Geographic, BBC America (Gordon Ramsay is hilarious!!), and, of course, Comedy Central.
  • Books

The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind (the king of the writing world, so far as I'm concerned), Lord of the Rings, Twilight, and Harry Potter, in that order. As long as it's a thick book with a good plot, I'll read it. ..
  • Heroes

My cousin Jennifer. She's had so much stuff pushed her way, it's amazing. She's had Hodgkin's Lymphoma (a horribly deadly type of cancer, and she would've died if she didn't get it treated properly) at 15, and she had to miss a whole year of high school b/c she was so sick she couldn't keep up, much less go to school. She also recently had a malignant brain tumor removed from the left frontal lobe. She has an awful scar running ear to ear across the top of her head. She has short, hot pink hair now b/c no one could see her hair after it grew back in after the surgery (it was really light blonde), so she decided 'the heck with it!!' and dyed it hot pink. Hey, Jenn, more power to ya!!!! She's only 29, and her brain tumor was removed last year. She missed a year of college, as well. And yet, she acts as though her short pink hair is a choice and nothing bad has ever happened to her. ACH, MY IDOL!!!! I love you Jenn!..

About me:

I’m a complete and total cowgirl. I’m really vibrant, bubbly, and outgoing. Thick blonde hair, undecided hazel eyes (they switch from blue to green and back). I love my life. I’ve got a couple crazy parents and one almost psychotic little sister. Also have a fish, two cats, two dogs, and four horses, all wonderful. My favorite color is green, lime or hunter, I love Ghirardelli squares. I get motion sick easily, I’m a bit hydrophobic, and the sight of blood makes me sick. Wanted to be a vet, but then I saw the catheters they stick in horses, and I about passed out.

I’m a member of Tarrant County 4-H. President of the council, delegate of my club. Wanted to run for a district office my last year, but I couldn’t afford the trip to Commerce for the election. I do lots of 4-H projects: horse, photography, dance, goat, and leather craft. Pretty good at dancing, suck at photography, and leather craft skills are average. Also a member of the Crowley FFA chapter. I’m usually on the horse judging CDE team, no LDE teams, and I do the AgriScience fairs. Got a 3rd at my first fair. Yay!

I ride dressage competitively, and I’m currently at first level, and even though I’ve been riding my whole life, I only got serious about my dressage four years ago. Been grand champ at the 4-H county horse show for two years running, so I have two nice, shiny belt buckles.

I enjoy riding western because the saddle has a horn, I don’t like jumping because I’ve almost always fallen off going over the jump, and I am currently working with my mother’s Thoroughbred/Percheron mare. She’s doing well, and at her first show, in four classes, she placed 1st, 1st, 2nd, and 4th. I’m proud of her.

One day, I hope to own a big-as-heck warmblood breeding and training stable (Oldenburgs?? Maybe…). My barn will be British Horse Society certified, and we will be a certified test facility (the only one in the United States) for the BHS Assistant Instructors’ and Instructors’ (BHSAI and BHSI) certifications. I want to have the trailer below (a few of them) pulled by the truck below (a few of them, too)...

Photobucket Photobucket

Who I'd like to meet:

People I'd like to meet?? God, Jesus, Ian Millar, Michael Matz, Xenophon (original creator of dressage!!)... A few more actors and actresses (Viggo Mortensen included; did all his own riding-related stunts in LotR and Hidalgo)...

we have staples (samples of diffenet wool) taht we judge based on finess, quality, and about 20 different other things, and then we judge classes, which are basically a lot of wool bound of together to make a fleece
