Im working on developing a new magazine for british muslims... Im sick and tired of all the negative press directed towards British muslims at the moment and I partly believe its our own fault. Instead of showing the world our beautiful religion, everybody sees the bad things... Islam is a perfect religion... unfortunately misguided Muslims are using un-Islamic channels to seek redress for their greavances. The current western media will always show the bad from the good... Its just taken out of context by both the media and british muslims...
I recently came back from saudia arabia and completed Umrah. So many muslims of so many cultures, countries... white, black, arab, chinese, asian, indian.... I feel we need to show the world the real truth... That British muslims aren't bad, we're not fanatics... we're peaceful and trustworthy human beings. Today mashallah British muslims are solicitors doctors, business people, teachers... and we're moving away from stereotypes our parents were burdened with.
We enrich the UK with our very existence, all the while contributing to the gross national product through our achievements in the corporate world.
Im here to build a magazine which will fight intelligently the ignorant, cowardly, bitter and bigoted who have no talent, no guts, who desecrate things they don't understand.
Inshallah "IMAANI" will be at a store near you soon.
Who I'd like to meet: No one... on the day of judgement I will meet our creator... and nothing fears me most...

Shaykh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah) said:
"As for people greeting each other after the eid prayer by, 'Taqaballahu minna wa minkum' (may Allah accept it from you and us) - it is reported that some of the shahabah practiced it, and the scholars permitted it. However, Ahmad said, 'I do not initiate saying it to anyone; but if one says it to me, I answer him. This is because responding to a greeting is obligatory, but to initiate the greeting is not a required sunnah, neither is it prohibited: whoever does it it would have an example (from the salaf) and whoever does not would have a predecessor as well." [Majmoo al-Fataawaa (24/253)]
Al-Haafidh Ibn Hajr Al-Asqalani (rahimahullah) said: "We have related in "Mahaamiliyaat" with a chain of narration that is hasan, from Jabyr ibn Nufayr who said: 'When the companions of Allah's Messenger (sulAllahu alaihi wa salaam) met on the day of 'eid, they would say to each other, 'Taqaballahu minna wa minkum (may Allah accept from you and us )." [Al Mahamiliyyat; hasan isnad; see Fath ul Bari 2:446]
Ibn Qudaamah mentioned in al-Mughnee (2/259) that Muhammad ibn Ziyad said: I was with Abu Umamah al Bahili (rahimahullah) and some other companions of the Prophet (sulAllahu alaihi wa salaam). When they returned from the eid, they said to each other, 'Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum (May Allaah accept it from you and us)."
