    I am currently working on a three part series called, The Destiny Series. Set in Regency England, the trilogy is based on the DeLattimer siblings - 18th century aristocrats with a surplus of intelligence, good looks and charm.

    There are two brothers (Lucian, the eldest and heir to their father's titles, and Robert, who inherited his mother's ancestral property and Scottish wild streak) and one fiesty little sister (Winifred, mischievous and beautiful, a true romantic at heart with a very specific idea of what she wants in a husband).

    They are three very different siblings who set off on their respective journies with one common goal -- to find their very own happy endings.

    I absolutely, positively loved Pride and Prejudice -- it's my favorite. The Holiday, starring Kate Winslet (who I adore) and Cameron Diaz is also one of my top favs. Love Actually also rates up there on my list. Like Bridget Jones, it has both Colin Firth and Hugh Grant in it...how could you possibly go wrong with those two in the cast?

    You can't make one of these lists without including Dirty Dancing, unless you've been in a bubble for 20 years! I was also enthralled by The Count of Monte Cristo. And of course, the Pirates of the Caribbean movies...but aren't those pretty much a given?! Johnny Depp is an absolute dream...

On an unrelated note: People sometimes ask me, why romance? Why not suspense thrillers or contemporary women's fiction? Well, for me it's about trying to capture that feeling...that indescribable, fluttering surge of emotion you get in the pit of your stomach the very first time you fall in love. That elusive sensation that makes you feel young and uninhibited, reckless and just...well...inexplicably happy. To be able to capture that essence and reproduce it for yourself and others...there can be no equal to that accomplishment. Nothing in the world compares to the euphoria of being in love. That is why I chose romance...or rather why it chose me.
