I MADE THIS Records is based in Worthing, West Sussex. For those of you that are less familiar with Worthing, it has a pier and... that's about it. Thus we try to make life more tolerable there by putting on shows as often as we can.
Over the past 5 years, we have put on gigs at venues along the southcoast including The Beechwood, The Vintners Parrot, Tides/The Tunnel Club, X's, Volk's, The Alibi, The Rest Bar, Hector's House, The Greenhouse Effect and Occasions.
We are always looking for new, interesting bands / musicians to work with so get please get in touch. We only accept adds from bands that we have listened to and like! We have contacts for almost anything so if we can't help you out ourselves, we most certainly will be able to pass you on to someone who can.
Photos
If you're after some live gig photos of your band talk to LT Photography. His work is very good, plus if you are very nice to him he may do your gig for free...
DJ Hire
If you're after a DJ who knows something more interesting than Grease Lightning for your Birthday / House Party / Club Night / Bar Mitzvar then why not ask us? We only like good music so you can't go wrong! We also DJ regularly as part of the Superheroes Of BMX Collective in Brighton. Email us for more info!
Live Sound Engineering
Engineer and PA avaliable. We can cater for all kinds of venue shapes, sizes and budgets.
To download a free PDF copy from Rapidshare either follow this link or click on the image below . . .
This is quite a large file (the PDF is print quality, so if you wanted to print out a copy rather than stare at a computer screen you can. The 'zine will print at 300dpi and pages are sized at A5) so it may take a few minutes to download.
We are already working on the next issue (due out in January) and are always looking for contributors. If you would like to contribute to TBB or think that there is something we should know about please get in touch with us either here or, better still, visit our forum, sign up and get involved there. TBB is not just about music, we want to hear about anything underground, alternative or left of center.
We are finally getting the first issue of our 'zine sorted and have setup a forum to go with it's impending release in December.
Both the 'zine and the forum are for more than just music (although that is a big part of what we're about), we will be covering art, film, books, in fact pretty much anything and everything that is underground or alternative.
Have a look at the forum, sign up, start promoting your projects, band, writing, etc and join in the discussions.

NEW HEAVY SOUNDS - A club night for those not afraid of aural assault!
A new night of heavy live sounds and DJs to match in a new venue as dark and loud as necessary.
Following the storming first night of New Heavy Sounds in September (with the marvellous BO-NINGEN headlining), we're super excited about the next NHS night, with zombie-baiting wonders CHICKENHAWK supported by the brilliant heavy garage of BAD FOR LAZARUS, the tight'n'heavy FRAFF and Cardiff's great STRANGE NEWS FROM ANOTHER STAR.
DJs include IGOR VOLK (NYPC / Diesel:U:Music Radio rock show) + STU PLIMSOLES. Visuals courtesy of image meister the k e r n s.
From Rock to Extreme Noise, Hardcore to Acid Rock, Grunge to Doom, Garage Rock to Stoner ie anything that is extreme rock'n'roll!!!
To make life easier Thee Big Black now have a Facebook page. Follow the link and add our page to get regular updates about shows, club nights and maybe even a 'zine . . . .
Just a reminder that we have these events coming up . . .
