   About imagine asians
View imagine asians's EPK View imagine asians's EPK

imagine asians has chosen anything but a formulaic approach to making pop music. Between a revolving-door-type stage lineup, an 'anything-goes-as-long-as-it-sounds-right' attitude toward recording, and a sizeable back catalogue of songs that borrow from multiple musical genres spanning over the past 40 years, it's difficult to lay a finger on the band's pulse.
What may be said with certainty about imagine asians is that the music speaks for itself. With the ambitiously-titled record we are the future on the way, the group is preparing to make some noise (sometimes very quietly...)

"imagine asians are quite skilled at layering unusual instruments and found sounds on top of welcoming backdrops; as a result their music is at once dreamy and eye-opening."~Nashville City Paper

"...imagine asians make indie-minded pop that ranges from gentle, paintive songs of yearning to exuberant, nearly uncontainable bursts of melody. Rich with a sweeping palette of instrumentation, they're sweet and fun and lovely all at once."~The Nashville Scene

I'll have you guys know we had this awesome little "Thank you" poster that we made with us looking all fancy on it that we were planning on pasting on your page here. Buuut, you've disabled the ability to do such...
Well, we're not mad, I'm just letting you know that this comment we're leaving would be so much more magical if we were able to leave what we had intended... Oh well. Great stuff, anyways, guys. Keep it up.
