    Jana's Interests
GeneralMy favorite Question: If you could have wings or gills, what would you chose and why? I love Scuba Diving!!!! Travel, dancing, dinner parties, books and numbers. Sharing intimate moments with friends, crying watching country music videos, shopping, eating, dreaming about dessert, driving converables, climbing mountains, spending time with my family and sitting outside undernearth the stars. Playing in mud, walking in the sand, swimming, diving in a waterfall. Working out and trying new adventures.

Throughout life we must cope with blockages that impede our forward momentum. Whether these obstacles are of a personal, professional, or societal nature, our first instinct may be to push against the obstruction. But the simplest way to alleviate resistance is to approach it gently, with a soft manner and kind intentions. Struggle and strife can find no foothold when confronted with mildness because conflict can only exist when fed by two opposing forces. So many areas of our lives can benefit from the application of gentleness. The beauty of gentleness lies in its multifaceted nature. It is part love, part compassion, part patience, part understanding, and part respect for others. When we move through life gently as a matter of course, we naturally attract these wonderful elements into our lives. This does not mean that gentle people are by nature passive or meek. Rather, their copious inner power is manifested in their gentleness and their choice to move with the flow of the universe instead of against it. You can make use of gentleness in your own life by applying it in situations where you feel challenged by your circumstances or by people in your environment. As you move forward gently, the energy pervading your life will likely shift and, consequently, the blockages before you will vanish. Cooperation progresses smoothly when approached gently because all parties involved feel confident that their needs will be met. And quarrels are easily quelled with gentleness because the dualistic concepts of losing and winning are made moot by our willingness to exercise infinite patience with those whose values differ from our own. Gentleness must be practiced, as we are inadvertently encouraged to act competitive in certain phases of our lives. At first, your established habits may make being truly gentle challenging. Yet after a time, if you commit to consciously applying gentleness to all areas of your life, whether by collaborating rather than competing or yielding graciously to the impassable roadblocks in your path in order to seek a new road, you will find that you begin to act gently habitually. Your patterns of thought and behavior become ever more peaceful, and you will discover that you encounter far less impassable resistance on your individual journey.
MusicIt's all about variety. I go threw phases Radiohead for days, then house music, Billy Holiday, Prince, Feist finish it off with some Mozart. There isn't a kind of music I don't like, it always just depends on my mood. Currently I have been listing to the mellow playlist on my Ipod.

About me:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away.

An elder Cherokee Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life. He said to them, "A fight is going on inside me...It is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves. One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, pride and superiority. The other wolf stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. This same fight is going on inside of you and every other person too."

They thought about it for a minute and then one child asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"

The old Cherokee simply replied..."The one I feed."

As we grow up, we are taught that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. That you will have your heart broken probably more than once and that it gets harder every time. That you'll break hearts too, so that you remember how it felt when yours was broken. That you'll fight with your best friend. That you'll blame a new love for things an old one did. That you'll cry because time is passing too fast, and that you'll eventually lose someone you love. Forget about all that hass been taught to you. Take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back. Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

LET IT GO…
There are people who will walk away from you. Or hurt you. Or not love you. Or not 'see' you. When people try to walk away from you, let them go. Don't try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. Hang up the phone if you need to. When people turn from you, let them go. They're on their way to somewhere or something else: somewhere or something that does not include you and let me tell why that is okay... Your destiny is never tied to anybody or anything that left. People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not joined to you, it's best they do not stay. Let them go. And it only means their part in your story is over. And it's good to know when people's part is over so you don't keep trying to push something that doesn't need to be. The gift of good-bye is just that a beautiful gift. I believe in good-bye. It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful, and I know whatever I need, I will have available to me, without convincing it to be a part of my life… practice the art of "LETTING IT GO".
If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong and is not good for you, then you need to.....LET IT GO. If you are holding on to past hurts and pains......LET IT GO. If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth.....LET IT GO...If someone has angered you...LET IT GO....If you are holding on to thoughts of hatred or revenge...LET IT GO...If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction...LET IT GO...If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents...LET IT GO...If you have a bad attitude...LET IT GO...If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better...LET IT GO...If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new spiritual level...LET IT GO...
If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship...LET IT GO If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help them self…
LET IT GO. If you're feeling depressed and stressed....LET IT GO...If there is a particular situation that you are used to handling yourself and God is saying "take your hands off of it," then you need to...LET IT GO...Let the past be the past. Forget the former things. Our Divine One, our Creator is doing great things for us even in this moment… Finally, stop and think of those things or those precious people in your life who were brought to you. Take a moment to appreciate someone kind, someone gracious, someone who loves you, and thank God and pray for them. Like attracts like and there’s nothing more sacred than feeling grateful in ones life…The more gratitude we feel about the things that we already have the more things God can bring to us to feel grateful for…God is waiting on us to Let our troubles go in order to fix them but He or She can’t do that if you don’t hand them over…bless yourself and finally just, "Let it Go"…

Who I'd like to meet:

It did for me.

The Weight Of Objects
Clearing Your Space For Change

In life, we tend to have an easier time acquiring possessions than we do getting rid of them. Just as we harbor emotional baggage that is difficult to let go of, our lives can tend to be filled with material objects that we may feel compelled to hold on to. Most people are not conscious of how much they own and how many of their possessions are no longer adding value to their life. They fiercely hold on to material objects because this makes them feel secure or comfortable. While it's true that the ownership of "stuff" can make you feel good for awhile, it seldom satisfies the deep inner longings that nearly everyone has for fulfillment and satisfaction. It is only when we are ready to let go of our baggage and be vulnerable that it becomes possible to recognize the emotional hold that our possessions can have on us.

It's not uncommon to hold on to material objects because we are attached to them or fear the empty spaces that will remain if we get rid of them. Giving away the souvenirs from a beloved voyage may feel like we are erasing the memory of that time in our life. We may also worry that our loved ones will feel hurt if we don't keep the gifts they've given us. It's easy to convince ourselves that unused possessions might come in handy someday or that parting with them will cause you emotional pain. However, when your personal space is filled with objects, there is no room for anything new to enter and stay in your life. Your collection of belongings may "protect" you from the uncertainties of an unknown future while keeping you stuck in the past. Holding on to unnecessary possessions often goes hand in hand with holding on to pain, anger, and resentment, and letting go of your material possessions may help you release emotional baggage.

When you make a conscious decision to fill your personal space with only the objects that you need or bring you joy, your energy level will soar. Clearing your personal space can lead to mental clarity and an improved memory. As you learn to have a more practical and temporary relationship to objects, positive changes will happen, and you'll have space to create the life that you desire.

so while surrounded by classic rock enthusiasts and drunken 60 year olds, i came to realize a few things:

1) most people just THINK they have rhythm... (white people bobbing their heads up and down does NOT count...)

2) i really like your boy toy... he's a sweetheart...

3) i love you... :)
