In addition to instilling a hatred and fear of sharks in children, the message Mattel is sending is irresponsible! Without sharks this planet would be a mess. They are a necessary and important part of our ecosystem. Stepping up on my cancer awareness soapbox, sharks are the only creatures known to man who do NOT get cancer. They can help save lives; instead Mattel is promoting these creatures in such a negative way. It is just stunning; and apalling.
