I like all type of music from hard rock, punk, to salsa and new wave. About the only music I don't like is Top 40 pop stuff. I'm not a big fan of country except for Johnny Cash type country.
Movies
Some of my favorite movies are Pulp Fiction (all Quentin Tarantino's work for that matter - yes even Grind House!), A Clockwork Orange, The Godfather movies, Office Space, Fargo, Phantasam, Get Shorty, The Jerk, just to name a few.
Television
I'm cutting back on T.V. but I enjoy My Name Is Earl, The Office, Law and Order and some of the leave your brain at the door show like Rock of Love - just who will Bret Michaels pick :-)
Books
I'm not into fiction books so the books I've read this year are almost all non-fiction. Some of the books I've read in 2007 that stand out so far...Tested Advertising Methods by John Caples written in the 1950's but very applicable today! I'm currently reading Seth Godin's Small is the new big. The Long Tail: Why the Future of Business Is Selling Less of More. Tricks of Podcasting Masters. The Four Hour Work Week to name a few.
About me: Alan's Internet Marketing Nirvana on MySpace :-)
Hello and welcome to MySpace space- My name is Alan and I've been
messing around with Internet marketing since around 2005 and I'm now
trying it out as a full time business. Lets see about me...I'm from Costa
Rica but now live in the USA. I started keeping an online
journal (AKA blog) about my quest for Internet Marketing Nirvana, you can check
out my Internet
marketing blog there.
Before that I was a corporate drone working as a Financial Systems
Analyst. I left corporate America in March of 2007 so my
ongoing quest for IM Nirvana is to keep me out of corporate America and
working on my own Internet marketing business form home with my two
"co-workers" my dog and cat...
If you're interested in Internet marketing or even in my beautiful home
country of Costa Rica stick around as I'll share tid bits about both at
this here myspace page! Don't forget to check out my Internet
marketing blog if you want to learn more about my quest for
IM Nirvana
or my Costa
Rica Talk Radio podcast to learn about Costa Rica.
Peace y Pura Vida!
Alan
Who I'd like to meet: People that work in Internet Marketing...or are working from home. New friends, old friends, people interested in Costa Rica and who like to travel. My fellow ticos - ¡pura vida ticos - a donde esta mi gente!
just stopping by to say thanks for accepting the request, of course. we appreciate you listening and we hope you enjoy the home-made sounds, let us know sometime!
Thanks for the friend request. I'm honored to accept and add you to my circle of friends.
I've recently moved and I'm trying to get caught up on emails so I didn't get to look at your page. I do want you to know that I look forward to learning more about what you are doing, and if there are any ways that we can support each other.
One of the reasons I started using MySpace is because I'm looking to do Joint Ventures with people and found that it is a really powerful resource to connect with others. So maybe there are some ways we can help each other out.
For me, my passion is Inspiring, Educating and Empowering people as they look to create extraordinary results in their personal and professional lives.
One of the main things I have been working on is that I have a software that I created called "The Desktop Life Coach" which is designed for people looking to stay focused on their personal and professional growth which is designed to help them maintain momentum.
We actually sell the software on the Internet, but I am looking for people here on MySpace who would be interested in using the software, and if they enjoy it and see the value in it, then have them become affiliates where they can promote the software to others and earn money when people purchase it. There will be no cost to you to try the software, and also no cost to you to become an affiliate.
The reason I am doing this is because we want to get things in place for a big "push" for the New Year and are looking to "test" the approach through MySpace. If you are interested, let me know and I will send you a link to download the software (right now we only have a PC version) and I will also get you more information on becoming an affiliate.
I am all about win-win sutuations, so let me know if there is any way I can support you{:~)
Thanks for adding me as your friend! If there's ever anything at all I can do to help you out, let me know ... I specialize in high-end, custom website and graphic design. =)
Hello Alan, thanks for the invite - greatly appreciated!
I too have been dabbling and working in Internet marketing for a while now (really since around 2002.) I've learned much from respected Internet marketers like John Delavera and Dave Vallieres, but I still have much to learn and apply.
Like you, I too have two "co-workers" - 2 cats. :-)
I hope everything is going very well for you. If you ever need proofreading and/or article writing, please feel free to contact me - I'll make sure to provide you with a discount. :-)
Again, thanks for the invite - greatly appreciated!
PS: I'll also keep you updated with what I'm up to on my blog here on MySpace - so I'd love to have you as a subscriber! I'm about to do a video how-to series on "how to pimp MySpace for fun and profit" stay tuned...
