THE BLURB
Being a huge fan of "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here", Mark has often watched the show and thought "I could do that" but there was one main problem. He's not a celebrity. He spent a few days pondering this problem, and then remembered Sandi Thom the woman who did the concert from her bedroom and ended up with a record contract. Putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 4 (theres a surprise) he had the stunningly simple idea of trying to become an internet celebrity, thus making him eligible for the 2007 show.

This myspace has been created as a companion site to I'm NOT a celebrity. On the surface its is a fun site for your entertainment...and all at Mark's expense! He may be utterly shameless in his quest for fame but there is also a more serious ulterior motive...
A few weeks ago, Mark's 2 year old daughter was rushed into hospital with a tell-tale rash and other symptoms suggesting Meningitis. Sophie however, has been an incredibly lucky little girl, and is now nearly fully recovered and seemingly unscathed by what was potentially a life threatening illness. Without awareness of the symptoms, things could have been very different.
The Meningitis Trust promote awareness and support to all. Awareness of the symptoms and prompt treatment undoubtedly can save lives. They also do a lot to assist families who have been affected by this terrible disease. The website has been set up to raise as much support and money for the charity as possible, and also an awareness of the symptoms that EVERYONE should be aware of. If it helps just one person it will be worth it!

This was Debs summary of the day: "It did seem rather weird to have men wolf-whistling at my husband, he also had a gang of teenage boys singing Robbie Williams - Angels, lots of cars tooting him, bus drivers pulling over to have a laugh and a few ladies wanted Mark instead of their flowers. He made a lot of people very happy yesterday and spread some smiles and laughs all around." Well done Mark!!!

The Valentines Challenge stepped up a gear this morning when Mark was interviewed by the local newspaper! A photo shoot is planned for tomorrow and the finished article should appear in the paper on Valentines Day itself.
Mark, in his (apparently rather skimpy!) costume will be working in the florist in Oxford's covered market and delivering flowers. If you're able, why not pop in to catch a glimpse (send us some photos if you do!) and show your support!

The Mastermind challenge has been put on the backburner for the moment as it looks as though the Valentines challenge is to go ahead! Can you imagine, Mark dressed as Cupid fundraising on the streets of Oxford?!

The Jungle King has agreed to accept the challenge of the big black chair! And his specialist subject? Oxford United (1980-present) - what a suprise! The website was featured on Steve Wrights Radio 2 show TODAY! This is what Miles Mendoza had to say about it on the Radio 2 website:
Many people are feeling bereft this week now that Matt Willis has been crowned King of the Jungle, and there is no more I'm A Celebrity until 2007.
Perhaps that void can be filled by following the adventures of a nice man called Mark, who is determined to become an internet celebrity in time to gain a place in the jungle on next year's series. His site will feature regular video updates as he seeks to entertain his visitors and gain the attention of the programme's producers.
