The Impact Awards Australia

The ten nominees were put to a vote and the MySpace users have chosen their winners! Congratulations to ANTAR (Australians for Native Title and Reconciliation), ATAAC (Australian Teens Against Animal Cruelty) and The Oaktree Foundation.

These three winners will receive $10,000 each to put towards their worthy causes.

The Impact Awards Australia highlight Australian MySpace users who are using MySpace to make a positive impact on the world in the areas of Poverty Relief, Environmentalism, Health & Safety, International Development, Social Justice and Community Building

THE OAKTREE FOUNDATION
The Oaktree Foundation is a youth run aid and development organisation who believe that education is the key to making lasting change. Their mission is to empower developing communities through education in a way that is sustainable.

ANTaR - Australians for Native Title and Reconciliation
Known for establishing the Sea of Hands, ANTaR is an independent group, who for more than 10 years have worked in support of justice for Australian Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders.

ATAAC - Australian Teens Against Animal Cruelty
ATAAC is an animal rights action group for teenagers, dedicated to ending the unnecessary and abhorrent treatment of animals, fighting for our furry friends while most kids are doing their homework.
