About the Band

Formed in 2007 by rhythm guitarist/singer Søren Crawack and former lead guitarist Trond Krüger. The band spend the first couple of years defining their style, writing songs, playing shows and evolving their musical abilities, which resulted in the 2009 demo Army of Darkness. The demo got good reviews in both danish and international webzines. The biggest metal magazine in Denmark, Metalized, even ...gave it "ten thumbs up".

This wasn't enough for the band though. They wanted to play faster and harder. With this new style in mind, the band discarded a large part of the songs found on the Army of Darkness demo, instead opting to write even more aggressive tunes, as well as redesigning their logo to better fit this direction. This culminated in the April 2011 release of the demo A Necessary Evil, which featured four new songs of blistering madness.

The band will enter the studio in November to record their debut album.

.. .. .. .. ...... ...... BIOGRAPHY: .... Impalers was formed in 2007 by Trond and Søren under the banner, Rigor Mortis. Obviously a band with that name already existed so a change was needed... After learning about the brutality of historic figure Vlad the Impaler, Søren suggested to call the band Impalers, as a sort of tribute, as it "was just too brutal not to use for something". .... Inspired by the riffing of Kreator, Sodom and Metallica, they quickly found their direction, and sound. .. In May 2009 they released their first demo CD, called Army of Darkness. The demo got very positive reviews in both danish as well as international magazines and websites, with Metalized even giving it "ten thumps up". .... The band continues it's aggressive campaign across the landscape, playing with other up and coming danish thrash bands like Phantomizer and Hideous Invasion, as well as opening for the legendary Artillery in 2009. ......
