About me: My name is Dakota. I'm 16 years old. I'm interested in basically anything with a motor. I'm usually outside working on my car or hanging out with my friends. I like going to the movies, bowling.
nott really it's pretty much all fixed up. i want street glow but thats not much money.. other than that idk.. right now im workin on fixing my door lock and power window motors after that ima send it through inspection and get it on the road.
yeah man i gott mine last week my truck is still not on the road.. i have to replace power window acuator and replace door lock acuator.. wat kind of motor do you have in your car?
Yeah, you'll find that your perception of time is probably a lot different than people who are older - compared to us, the world probably crawls by in slow motion for you. It can be hard to be patient, especially driving.
Yeah, I've had some good luck gardening so far with some things; I've also learned some lessons the hard way. It's a lot different in Florida - it's just sand here, not like the good soil you have up there, and we've had a drought here for a long time and just recently had rain, so it's kind of a steep learning curve for me but I'm getting better.
Here's what's growing and doing well so far: Lettuce, Swiss Chard, Cucumbers, Yellow Squash, Zucchini, Peas, Green Beans, Green Peppers, some Tomatoes (not many plants made it), Radishes, and I have some seedlings of Cantaloupe and Pumpkin (and a Giant Variety of Pumpkin) and Kohl Rabi (they're a cabbagy/turnipy thing) coming up that seem to be doing pretty well.
Carrots, Okra, Watermelon (arrr!)and Corn all died on me. Most of the Peppers and Tomatoes died on me. I have some plants that are in kind of a stalemate - no matter how much I water them, they don't grow. And weeds seem to be taking over.
It's time consuming but fun. I got some more seeds yesterday and I'm going to plant them tomorrow.
Have fun with driving, but just take it easy. You know a lot of race car drivers have died in just regular car crashes, sadly enough. You'll just have to find a way to channel your energy.
How's the driving thing going? How's life in general? I haven't sent you a message in a while; I've been uncharacteristically busy lately. I've also got this garden situation going on, and it's fun, it's almost addictive, just planting things, taking care of them, watching them grow. It's fun.
I knew you'd be okay. We seem to be an accident prone family, but we're a sturdy breed.
Still, I'm sure it had to hurt like hell, and I'm sure you'll know to be careful next time, but even so, stuff can still happen, even to those who know better, which I'm sure Dad will tell you.
Take care, and I hope your hand gets better. If it scars a lot, it'll make you look tough.
