Bio
There once was a king who had four sons. One of the sons was obsessed with squishy creatures, one had an enviable collection of slacks, one could really play the tennis, and one had a glorious yacht named Moby Deeyock. When the time came for the king to die, he summoned his four children. He turned to his extremely curious son and said, "To you, Hugh Hong, I bequeath a fire-bellied Telecaster." He turned to the son with the exciting slacks and said, "To you, young Stephenson, I bestow Clear Thunder." He turned to the great tennis champion and said, "With you, Sonny, I am entrusting the key that opens a passage to the garden of forgotten furniture." Finally, he turned to the yachtsman and said, "To you L'Orange, I leave my collection of rare chickens and my trusted henchman, Len Sakata, to shake the townspeople when they need shaking." With that he smiled and closed his eyes for the last time.
Press
might be the sleeper album of the year
--The Yellow Stereo (July 29, 2009)
If the XTC that made Drums And Wires were from Baltimore, they would be Impossible Hair.
--Stranded in Stereo (May 18, 2009)
--Pop News (April 10, 2009)
Quick whippets of deliriously catchy, oddball pop-rock.
--Baltimore City Paper (April 1, 2009)
The band's sound hearkens back to those indie rock glory days of the '90s, but with more precision than disheveledness; think hi-fi Guided By Voices production with lo-fi Guided By Voices quality songs.
--Washington Post (April 1, 2009)

En ella presentarán en catorce (¡¡14!!) ciudades españolas su sensacional trabajo de debut What Is The Secret Of Impossible Hair?, un auténtico manual de cómo hacer buen indie-rock en nuestros días.
--Desconcierto (March 30, 2009)
What is the secret of impossible hair? Buy this incredible album and you will find what rock and roll means in the XXI century. It’s a looney monkey matter.
Lyrics are as a Magritte’s painting: beautiful and crazy, colourful and black.
--PillBox.it (March 21, 2009)
briljante retrobritpop uit Baltimore. Buzzcocks anno 2009, zoiets. cool!!!!
--theoploeg Twitter (March 9, 2009)
"Profumo di Guided By Voices e Pixies (oltre al sapore dei - fenomenali - Party Of One). Senza particolare diletto verso la ricerca innovativa. Perchè a volte non se ne sente veramente il bisogno. Impossible Hair ed il loro primo album “What Is The Secret Of Impossible Hair?”. Una ventata di freschezza. Sempre gradita da queste parti."
--Happy Days are Here Again (February 28, 2009)
Their sound can be likened to the straight forward indie rock of yore, with a dab of new wave sparkle. They consistently hit the audience with with pop sensible, nod-provoking tune after tune.
--DCist (August 19, 2008)
Their MySpace page quotes them as “Happy Hardcore” in musical genre, but they sound more like a rock-pop compilation that would be heard on a mainstream XM station or in a Nordstrom’s dressing room.
