The dream is dead, long live the dream
For well over a year now, the Impressionables have been gradually ceasing to exist until Spring 2007 the final nail was put into the coffin when Tom and Chris told me they were leaving.
So 3 became 1. The split, I can assure you, was amicable and I am still in contact with the other 2 and consider them some of the greatest friends I've ever had.
I still harbour dreams to revive the beast that is the Impressionables. This band has shifted its membership around anyway and I was the last remaining member from the original lineup well before the final lineup ever even came about. I didn't say anything last year because I was still actively looking for members but now I'm slowly but surely cutting my ties with Surrey, as I look into the future to University, where perhaps I will find the people I want to collaborate with to become the next incarnation, perhaps I won't. Perhaps I will and something entirely different will emerge, who knows?
Symbiotic, symbiotic, symbiotic. The bun that was in the oven for 7 months in 2006, got released, then forgotten. Well, it wasn't completely forgotten. I only made 100 copies and all of them have been sold, so that's very good. I don't have any immediate plans to make more, but if you're interested in a copy let me know and I might change my mind on that. Pricing may change/disappear entirely, depending on how much demand there is. I'd rather people pay next to nothing or less and have copies than it sits on my hard-drive for enternity, and now that we've broken even, that's ok.
As for what we're all up to now - Chris is in his second year of a Biology course in Lincoln uni and working on his Citizen-M material, which I must say, is very good and worth a listen.
Tom is just started Physics at Imperial College London and has a big coperate giant backing him, the capitalist swine. Only joking - this is fantastic news.
As for me, I'm looking at Uni myself and I am working on a solo project called The Arachne Complex which is in a baby stage at the moment, but things are moving forwards gradually.
Thank you everyone who's contributed to the Impressionables journey and made everything possible, enjoyable and ultimately incredibly fulfilling for all of us.
