Tom (rhythm guitarist and vocals) comes from Kent and has been playing the guitar since he was fourteen and learned from Paul Gibson from the Kent school of music for three years before teaching himself.
Harv (lead guitarist and co-songwritter) comes from kent and aged at 33, is self-taught and has been playing to himself for 15 years. He has been strongly influenced by Prince (amongst others) for years.
Both have a different style of song writing that helps with giving them an edge of difference.
Influences
There are many influences within improvident from Prince through The Who to Eric Clapton and many of the bands from the last twenty years. Whilst trying to keep to a good sound, we like to do what we want not what everyone else is doing. So our biggest influence is ourselves.
Originating from sunny Faversham in the south east of England in Kent. Improvident are a alternative/rock duo.
