Over the past few months, an underground movement of musicians in Chicago used the Internet to unite hundreds of bands and musicians from over 50 countries to start a new radio station
IMRadio plays the music of local bands from hundreds of cities worldwide. Like a You Tube for music, IMRadio enables all musicians to upload original songs for free airplay. Each artist/band receives a profile page where they can communicate with their local fans and introduce themselves to a worldwide audience.
The artists can promote their upcoming concerts and even distribute their music to other web sites with widgets. IMRadio is a way for new bands to find an audience and meet the music industry scouts listening to the station.
