His individual talent alone says it all!!! His personality and original style sets this Bay Area rapper apart from many if not ALL MC's and ARTIST on the west coast and in the country! His names Seriious, and boy is he! This young and multi-talented individual has been on the rise ever since his high school days when he was first recognized for his crushing punch lines and devasted opponents while rap battling at lunch. His name was Shawn, he stood about 6 feet at the time and always had his way with words and how he expressed himself. Soon to be recognized by the entire school Shawn stayed persistant and always focused on what he knew best, and that was freestyling and battling and makin beats on anything he could get his hands on, that could include pencils, quarters, nickels, hands, tables, you name it. That how it all began! Shawn had jus moved to the Sacramento Area from the Bay Area at the end of his 10th grade in high school. He didn't know much about Sacramento and didn't really wanna leave all of his friends behind from the Bay Area where he attended P.V.H.S. or Pinole Valley High School in Pinole near Richmond. The move on him was really tuff. After many goodbyes and hugs Shawn soon found himself at a school which he knew nobody and an area in which he also knew nothing about. Knowing Shawn though, he would make new friends and make it work trying his best to adapt in Sacramento. In his Senior year Shawn was already know by most of the school for his natural beat makin talent and flows they call it when it comes to rapping. One girl even said, "Its like he would never stop tapping and banging on stuff throughout class, he drove everybody crazy including the teacher. He would always get threatened to get kicked out of class." she says while laughing and smiling. Shawn was always considered a noise maker and class clown since his early ages. Also well known for always being to loud or just plain old having a loud mouth, most would say. Most of his friends would say," You will never ever meet a guy quite like Shawn, he's jus different in his own unique ways." simply put. Little did they know, this was only the beginning to something great, a new beginning, a Seriious movement! Now thinking about persuing a career while only in the 12th grade Shawn was getting better and better everyday always battling and staying undefeated and also starting to write and still making beats on tables and walls for his friends while they freestyled or battled. Soon later, one of Shawn's friends handed him a cd for a music making program. "He was like, here, try this out, take it, see what you think about it!" Shawn took it with a big smile on his face and was like thanks a lot and could't wait till he got home to try it out. About 3 weeks later Shawn figured out the basics of the program and was on his way to success, or at least thats what he thought. Shawn figured out how to put beats on a cd and took them along with his cd player to school to show friends what he'd accomplished. When he got there and showed a few of his friends they told him that he sucked and that he would never be good at producing. Shawn was disgusted and couldn't believe what his close friends had said, he thought his beats were great and was very upset. Ever since that afternoon Shawn knew this wouldn't be easy but he told himself he'd stick to it, and use what his friends told him as advice. Shawn was a quick learner, he thanked his friends for being honest and promised them he would get good, and that one day everyone would love his music! After High School and graduation Shawn got better and better and even attended some college at C.R.C. or Consumes River College. Soon later he decided to work on his music full time and work full time also. Always buying new equipment, studying, and learning all he could about the art itself. He Was gettin better and better patiently waiting to show his friends once again. His talent exceled! Now it 2006...and Shawns picked up a name for himself and his production. You probably know him as Seriious. And his label as Seriious ENT. The rest is pretty much history with the story still being writin. Now with an ever growing fan base Seriious is at his best constantly getting better everyday! What do you think? He has started his own movement linked to the hyphy movement called "Sac 2 Da Bay", in which hes show his new hometown of Sacramento his Bay Area side mixed with his Sacramento life style.
