Music takes a top place in my list of interests. Even though I am not always listening to music, there is music playing in my head and heart. If you are around me you may see my toe tapping when you can't hear any music at all. It's there.

I like to crochet, do genealogy online, play computer games, practice my web designing on my website, watch tv and movies, play with my grandkids and visit with my kids, chat with friends online and face to face, cook, bake, and so many other things I could go on and on. Also love jigsaw puzzles, the more challenging the better.
I love reading, but I haven't spent much time doing any serious reading in a long time because I have had so much other stuff going on in my life. So my reading has been rather sporadic. Currently I have signed up for home delivery of library books and more and I am looking forward to doing some real reading again.

Music is very important to me. Music can pick me up when I am feeling down, especially when I can get at all my old vinyl record albums. Hey, I have 475 of them. They are at my daughter's house right now and I couldn't play them if I had them because this girl don't have no record player. (yeh, I know that wasn't very grammatically correct) I have a little of everything ranging from the oldies but goodies of the 60's and 70's to Christian hymns and contemporary stuff to classical to movie soundtracks to things some people call elevator music. Well now....doesn't an elevator lift you up (or bring you down)? Doesn't that make all music elevator music if it changes your mood? I do have some records I will probably never listen to. They were my mother's and just not the kind of stuff I like. Basically, I don't really like rap, hip hop, hard rock, heavy metal, or much of what the kids like today. Give me the oldies any day.

My most favorite movie of all is The Sound of Music (big surprise, huh). I love almost all the old musicals and some of the more recent ones like Newsies. I really enjoy the old classics. It used to be that we had a local television station that played these old movies. My mom and I watched them whenever we had a chance. Things like Strike Up The Band with Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney. Bing Crosby movies, Danny Kaye, (White Christmas is my favorite Christmas movie). I don't care if they are in black and white...it adds to their charm. I grew up with these movies and learned about many of the actors of those days. Now to see them you have to go rent them from a video store if you can find them. Of the more recent movies, I enjoy love stories (no nudes--it isn't necessary to the story--imagination is much better anyway). I like the who dunnit style of mysteries, but not so much the ones that tell you who the bad guy is right at the beginning. I love good comedies, but there are what I call the dumb funny and the thought-provoking funny. Forget the dumb funny. I don't like those at all. I like the ones that are just plain funny, like Danny Kaye, Jerry Lewis. There are good funny movies out today, but they are hard to find because there are too many of the dumb funny that have to be weeded through to get to them. Comedy doesn't need the foul language to be funny either. In fact, without those nasty words, the humor is really much better. If it isn't, then it really wasn't funny to begin with. One of my favorite funny movies is Throw Momma From The Train. Another one is What About Bob. Okay I know there are some bad words in it. But they are not the main focus and have a distinct purpose. But regardless, the movie would still be a very funny movie if they took those segments completely out. My son and I have spent hours watching our own Elvis marathons and James Bond marathons. Our family enjoyed movies like Where The Red Fern Grows, Old Yeller, Fried Green Tomatoes, Forest Gump, Mrs. Doubtfire, and many more. Movies need to have some substance for me to enjoy them.

TVLand classics, Hallmark Channel, some Lifetime movies, Star Trek Next Generation and Voyager, several Christian programs, Animal Planet, Discovery, History channels, and other things.

The Bible is my favorite book, love letter, guide, companion. There is nothing better than knowing what God has to say to us.
I like whodunnit mysteries, and just about anything interesting as long as it has nothing to do with the occult, horror, sexually oriented or other such awful things that take the mind where it shouldn't be going.

Jesus Christ, without whom I would not be alive today. I would not have survived the trials and struggles of my life had it not been for having Him living in my heart and directing my steps. Other important people in my life have been my grandfather and my great aunt, especially. They helped my mom raise me. She was a single parent back in the day when it was not cool to be a divorcee, let alone one with a child. She had it pretty rough. I thank God that He placed us in a good relationship with her father and her aunt as well as her sister. I hate to imagine what it would have been like without them.

IT HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL REMINDER THROUGH DIFFICULT DAYS AND DIFFICULT TRIALS THAT YES, MY DADDY DOES KNOW THE WAY HOME. ALL I HAVE TO DO IS TRUST HIM AND HE WILL GET ME THERE. THIS VIDEO I KEEP GOING BACK TO FIND BECAUSE I WANT YOU TO KNOW TOO, THAT YOUR DADDY KNOWS THE WAY HOME AND HE WILL GET YOU THERE.

WELCOME!!! Please consider this your little place of peace from the rest of the world. Here you will find more videos than you can watch in a single sitting, I am sure. But here you will find laughter, music, worship, praise, hope, peace, joy, love, and hopefully the message of the love of God and how He came to earth as a baby. He came to be like us so He could understand what is was like to be us. He came to earth to live as we lived, but to do so without sin---WHY? So He could become the sacrifice needed to pay the wages of our sin. He came to earth to die. For me. For you. For all of us. If you don't know Him yet, all you have to do is tell Him you would like to know Him. Tell Him you don't understand it all, but you want to learn. Tell Him you accept the Gift He gave for you and for me...the payment of the debt we owed, by dying for you and for me so we could live with Him forever. The Bible says, Now is the day of salvation. None of us knows how long we have on this earth. Don't wait too long to take the gift He has offered to you.
The videos you will find here all are very special to me. Some are just funny, but with a wonderful message. Others are songs that have spoken to the depths of my heart the words that God knew I needed to hear. Others are songs of praise and worship. These videos, this profile, are a part, but only a part, of my testimony of my faith in Jesus Christ. I truly hope that what you see here reflects Jesus and not me. I hope that what you see here not only brings you a bit of enjoyment, and a break from the ratrace around you, but a little bit of what it is to have a relationship with the Creator of the universe.

I'm the proud mother of two and grandmother of four beautiful children. Having recently become disabled and learning how to survive on disability benefits and part time work, I am getting back into interests and hobbies I used to have, while setting goals to help myself get healthier. Whether I accomplish any of that, time will tell. In the meantime, I want to enjoy the life I have, the family I have, and the friends I have. You can find out more at www.angelfire.com/oh/piranifamilyathome but this website needs a lot more work. Just like an old house in need of maintenance, this website needs some repairs here and there. But take a chance. I promise no bricks will fall on you and no cobwebs will get stuck in your hair.
I would like to meet honest, caring, responsible people with good senses of humor, ability to laugh at themselves, ability to have fun, but still be serious when the situation calls for it. Face to face, I would like to find some good fishing buddies who enjoy getting up early to go fishing, taking a picnic along complete with snacks because you are going to be gone all day. By the time you get home you are tired from all the fresh air and sunshine even though you sat in the shade trying to keep from getting your line caught in the tree branches above you. I would like to meet some good euchre players who might want to start a monthly card night. Online, I would like to meet all kinds of folks as long as they fall into the description above. I have met some really nice people online over the years and I hope to meet many more. If what you find on this profile strikes you as interesting, send me a message and maybe we will be good friends down the road.
Hey Cindy :) Thanx bunches for the comment. It's amazing how each year a birthday seems less and less exciting. Soon I may even forget I have one! Haha. Hope you're enjoying the last of the BEAUTIFUL weather.
