Alas, thou knowest how the tragic story began (if not thou art pants and should read the About Me page on ruthjoyce.co.uk…)

The gods thought long and hard about what they should do with the ninny upon whom they had bestowed their precious gift, and many wept with sorrow.
“No portraits of Wiggles the bunny?! No pretty scenes of rivers and trees?! What else is there in life I ask you?!!”

I coughed politely, standing there with my spider web frizz (which apparently was hair- who knew…), my slightly deranged teeth and my Deirdre Rasheed styleé mint green Micky Mouse glasses perched on my small face (I do have a ridiculously small head) and stated-
“What ho, what about music?”

The omnipotent beings roared with laughter as my 10 year old self contemplated.
“Yes, music, music is good. And sports, extreme sports, kids in baggy trousers…”

And suddenly a great change came upon me (twice in one day it seems) and my hair was red and my trainers were huge and my body was tattooed (I was, of course, not 10 anymore- I speak in figurative terms in relation to the passage of time) and I saw that it was bloody good.

And I picked up a pencil and followed it around while it drew, and I took all the credit. That is until we had a terrible row and he walked out half way through a drawing, and our only contact since has been in the form of a crude letter from him explaining he wants his rubber back. I wonder what I’ll do now…

..COMMISSIONS ..

1) Message me with your ideas initially. Have as much info on what you want as you can as that makes both our lives easier. Send inquiries to ..ruth@ruthjoyce.co.uk..

2) I'll reply with a rough quote, depending on size and materials of what you want. Once agreed I can begin. If you like, I can also send you sketches/photos of the painting for you to see.

3)Once final payment is recieved your drawing/painting/design will be sent to you. I accept paypal payments, cash and cheque. BUT PLEASE NOTE - any copying of an original Ruth Joyce art work image is prohibited, and copyright laws will kick your ass.

The process is the same - simply message me and I'll let you know the price and whether it's an original or a print.


REMEMBER - I have a specific style. If you don't like my style, don't ask for anything. And don't tell me what to draw. I'll just ignore you.
