Eric Roberts is an accomplished classical and jazz guitarist and bassist as well as composer, and has been playing professionally since the age of 16. He has music degrees from Ithaca College and the University of Miami and has played with numerous notable entertainers, such as: Chuck Berry, The Fifth Dimension, The Drifters, Bob Hope, Joan Rivers, Anthony Newley, Maureen McGovern, and the Smothers Brothers, to name a few. His company, MUSICMAGIC PRODUCTIONS, provides music for wedding ceremonies, receptions, private and corporate events, concerts and festivals.
Eric’s own original music encompasses a variety of musical influences, from Paul Winter and David Darling to Ralph Towner, Eberhard Weber and Pat Metheny, as well as the music of Brazil. His own unique sound comes from a melding of instruments - from the classical guitar, fretless bass and guitar synthesizer to the mandolin and the bandura (a Ukrainian instrument akin to the harp).
He has just released his premiere CD entitled “In a Silent Place”, featuring Eric on Classical Guitar, Steel String Guitar, Guitar Synthesizer and Fretless Bass. In addition, Maverick Cellist, former Paul Winter Consort member, and recording artist on the ECM, Hearts of Space and Relaxation labels, David Darling, is the featured guest artist, in addition to Robert Weinstein on guitar and Ed Contreras on percussion. He describes the music as “jazzy, non-commercial new age” and is perfect for relaxation, meditation and quiet contemplation.
Hello Eric. a pleasure to meet you and be on your friends list, thanks for your words about my interpretation, I really like the music of Brazil and especially Garoto that good that you could have seen live Bellinati (to envy). The theme Swiss samba, so good! I would be delighted to include it in the repertoire I play for my work (with hotels, restaurants and cafes in the city) A hug from Colombia.!

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." ~Emerson~
Wishing you a wonderful & beautiful weekend my sweet friend!
Don't be content with looking at a rose as beautiful flower. Look at her with Love, so that she enters into your heart and awakens other forces in your heart and soul.
See? This is the magic of internet! To get back in touch with a musician fellow after 15 years through MySpace and internet... But hey, enough tech-losophy for today :-)
Awesome music you're playing, Eric. Nice atmospheres and great skills... perfect match.
I am Proud to be in Your Circle of Friends!
