In Between Worlds is a rock band from Birmingham, AL. The band, born of the ideas of Wes Arnold, and previous members started in December of 2005. Stacy Tucker joined the group in April of 2006, after which the project really took off. IBW began by playing shows all over the southeast, attracting attention in every direction possible. Two tracks were recorded and released on Myspace, “My Obsession”, and “Waste”, both songs characterizing an addiction to writing music and the progression from one world of music to the next. Many personnel changes occurred over the first year. Brandon Tucker came to be the drummer for IBW in the fall of 2006. The band released “Meant to be” on Myspace shortly after the change, which showed a different side of the writing style of the group, yet still kept close to the rock edge their sound is best known by.
2007 was by far the busiest and more productive year for IBW, as they conquered City Stages 2007, played as far north as Evansville, IN, and appeared of Fox 6’s morning show, “Good Day Alabama”. These performances can still be viewed by performing a quick search of “Inbetween Worlds” at www.myfoxal.com. Shortly after all that success the band encountered quite a few personal obstacles between members and proceeded to disband….
Until now…
In Between Worlds is back at it again today, writing new songs and recording new songs, soon to be released on Myspace, Garageband.com, Purevolume.com, and anywhere else that will let the guys post. The band has welcomed bassist, Ric Woods into the group. Writing of new material has already begun. If you remember what it was like last time IBW was around, get ready for something bigger and better! - the new In Between Worlds!!!
