After years of trying with other bands, Kol decided to form his own band, and in late 2005 he started looking for musicians for his band while at the same time he started righting and demoing material for it. He knew that in order for this band to make a success it would be a long road and he would need to be picky and critical of musicians trying out. Incarceri 9 started out being called Centuryspawn with the lineup being Kol(Guitar), Woodrow Crawford(bass), Greg Anderson(Drums), Alexis Penner(vocals). This lineup never played a gig, and only demoed a couple tracks because of lack of dedication from the rest of the group, so they were let go by Kol. This stage of the groups “progress” ended in 2006.
In 2007 Kol kept looking and came across The Bst(bass). The two wrote songs and melded with a guitarist and a vocalist Chris and Ian respectively. They adopted the name Black Swamp Chain Gang and then from there started adding songs to the original Centuryspawn list, including song from Chris and Ian. They played there first gig at this stage at The Vinyl with a session drummer. To this lineup was added Marko Day(drums), and it lasted a few months. After some very unprofessional behavior from Chris and Ian, they were quickly dropped and the band went on as three piece, changing there name also to Incarceri 9. They played only one more gig as a three piece, as in March of 2008 they added guitarist/keyboardist Jordan Owen to the lineup.
In 2008 this lineup played a handful of gigs in the Atlanta area, and started writing and recording their first demo as well as their debut album “In Prison Till The End”. In late 2008, due to attitude as well as technical problems, Marko Day was let go from the band. The tracklist was completed, but had to be finished without a drummer.
In 2009 Incarceri 9 hired a drummer named Graham , who’s stay was short because he was emotionally unstable. He never played a gig with the band, and the band finished playing the gigs they had booked with a drum machine. The album was finished mixing and was released on April 20th. Not long after this, the band hired Jamie Stith as there new drummer, and at long last a more perfect fit could not have been found. He had the right attitude and the technical ability to play the songs Incarceri 9 were producing. They were able to start gigging again. They have also started writing for the next album as well as gained management with 7 Sisters Entertainment. 2010 is looking to be the bands most successful year.

Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my new erotic horror novel THE 13TH is now in stores everywhere! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride!
There's even a website devoted just to the book, with an interactive map of the places and characters at www.the13th-horror.com.
Edward Lee called THE 13TH "A double-barreled shotgun blast of macabre entertainment -- an expert amalgamation of grotesquerie, eroticism, mystery, and pitch-black occult horror that no fan of the genre can miss."
And Gary A. Braunbeck said, "John Everson's The 13th is the first out-and-out horror novel in a long while to actually scare the **** out of me while reading it. It's stylish, extremely well-written, filled with richly-drawn characterizations, and boasts a labyrinthine plot worthy of Umberto Eco. Trust me -- this one will fry your nerves and break your heart."
