Indecent Assault originally formed in 1982, but it took several months and line-up changes to get to the core line-up that gigged constantly during the following years. After a few demo tapes, the first ep "Dawn of the Android Workers" was released in 1986. The following year saw the release of the "United We Stand...But So Do They!"ep, split with Anorexia from nearby Birmingham. For a detailed history and overview of the band, we would strongly recommend checking out the book "The Day The Country Died" by Ian Glasper (Cherry Red Books) As well being superbly researched and written on all levels, there are some cracking bands from the underground that get some welcome recognition. Following a reformation of sorts and sporadic rehearsals in 2004, we have got back in gear and committed to this with weekly rehearsal and new songwriting. The new EP "STILL BURNING" was recorded 20th May 2005 but did not get completed until Nov - unbelievably, this got an 'unofficial' mail order only release 12 months later. A new track appeared on Angry Scenes Records Comp 2, thanks go out to Paul Gorman for all his support. Due to all his efforts, ASR 3 is now completed and features an exclusive IA track "Don't Let The B astards Grind You Down" recorded earlier this year. The new CD had be got from us, Paul directly or any of the 27 other bands on there. Prior to this, we had started work on the new album, recording four tracks in May 2007. However, these have since been snapped up by Meltdown Records (cheers Chris!) for a split release due some point in 2008 featuring Assert (and Rotunda) We will continue to gig as much as possible (having started again last August). So far this year, we have played with the UK Subs - the first time in 20 years! If anyone has a slot - get in touch!!

The graphic designer should be done with the CD art by end of week,as soon as this is complete,art master will be despatched - to which pressing will then commence.
We have sourced a U.K. based pressing plant,as opposed to the Czech company we have used for many years - his basically means a quicker order turnaround (appx 2 weeks).
It has been a bit of a struggle,but were getting there,and it will be worth the wait.
The art is fantastic - a total ode to Discharge,you will all be pleasantly surprised.
I will now be looking to book up some release shows for June,I need to know any dates from all bands that we need to avoid.
