After 17:00 o' clock on Saturday it's free to park your car in the city. Check only if it's not only for permits! There's also little space to park your car in the streets in the centre itself, but if you look around the centre of the town there could be some places. If you want to enjoy the market, shops and the city some more during the day we recommend the different indoor car parks or check also the Transferium when you come from the direction of Arnhem or Wedren/ Julianapark.

In Nijmegen and its surrounding area you will find the best this country has to offer in terms of scenic beauty. Contained between the rivers Maas and Waal, Ooijpolder and Duffelt nature reserves each have their own charm. Visit Nijmegen and imagine yourself back in the past. The history of this former imperial town is preserved and cherished in beautiful historic buildings, parks and museums and can be experienced in Het Valkhof Museum, which includes an important collection of Roman archaeology.
