Influences
Ind'Grass hails from the Northwest in the buckeye State of Ohio. The five piece ensemble performs a unique blend of Traditional Bluegrass, Americana and Roots, Rock, Reggae Music. Inspired by Old-time and Traditional music as well as, bluegrass legends such as Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, Clarence and Roland White to more contemporary influences such as Peter Rowan, Sam Bush, Jerry Garcia & David Grisman to Bob Marley & Jimmy Cliff.
Ind'grass started in the summer of 2004 as a little group that got together one day a week to do a little pickin'. After some time we started getting quite a few songs down and sounding fairly good. More people would show up with each get-together making it like a little show. One day a friend of ours, that came to the sessions regularly, suggested that we play New Years Eve at the bar he is working at. We decided 'why not' and was then forced to come up with a name.. we have been playing as ind'grass since that fateful day.
Hey Dylan!! My Chiropractor told me to tell you hi!! We apparently have the same one!! He's very cool! Oh and you are good friends with my bud Dee Fry, sweetness... always good company.
