yes the seymour duncan are active! and you can put them into you guitar easily with your emg electronic! they fit with this speed-clip from emg... you can remove your 81 and put your ahb1 direkt to the emg elektronic. buy one and check them out, you can combine it with your 85 or whatever you have in the neck postion! i use the blackout ahb1.... there is also a metal version avalebale but they are sounding crap! befor i played x2n for years they are passive but the blackouts are so dynamic and they convinced me to shred on actives again ;)
yeah mötley also playd on the graspop, mutz our singer is a huge fan!! :)
át the moment i swear on duncans blackouts, they having a lot of headroom and they are sounding pretty open for an active system. they are really brutal and you don..t need to turn so much gain into the amp.. in the upcomming month i will switch to emg, cus i..m getting a deal with them and they are sounding a bit more compressed and this works better with the laboga amp...
