Sophie Rhodes, singer/songwriter from Bournemouth, Dorset, established her acoustic duo Indian Summer in 2002 when she was 17.
Over the past 6 years, Indian Summer have played hundreds of gigs in the South and beyond at all types of music venues including The BIC, pubs, nightclubs, social clubs, exhibitions, festivals, hotels, fairs, regattas, holiday parks, bars, restaurants, weddings and private functions. Performing up to 3 x 45 minute sets at each gig, they perform both original material and a wide range of covers from the 60s to the present day arranged in their own style.
Sophie also performs as a solo artist, and is involved in session and dep work. She is currently on the lookout for a new guitarist!
Hey! How's the weather over there? I just want to let you know that i'm coming to the UK in late May/early June to play bass with Kevin Montgomery and Tommy Allsup. Tommy played guitar with Buddy Holly, and is THE guy that flipped the coin with Ritchie Valens. I figured that with you being a musician that you would really be able to appreciate this show.
