Sounds Like
Acoustic folk fusion, blending genres that reminisce in earthy and celtic undertones, bluegrass and roots rock. The performance is what it's all about, and it's fresh every time.
The concept behind Indian Summer Jars is that of preserving a moment/an energy/an emotion. The Indian Summer reminds us of past events, and pleasant surprises, warm weather, and new beginnings. As a band, Indian Summer Jars captures and stores some of these warm "feel good" moments so that they may be revisited and shared with others.
Sarah Beth and The Real Sarah King met at an open mic at Appalachian Brewing Company (Harrisburg, PA) in 2005. Both Sarahs were performing solo acts at the time, but hit it off well and began to share gigs. After a while, it just made sense for the two to combine talents, thus creating Indian Summer Jars. The album "Similar" was recorded in one week's time in May of 2008. Indian Summer Jars plan to record a new album in the spring of 2010. If there are any ambitious artists out there with some ideas for cover and interior art, please contact us.
The newest addition to our band is our Djembe and anything he can get his hands or feet on percussionist, Wild Bill Lanphier. The Sarahs also met Bill by accident when buying granola from his daughter (another Sarah!) at Nuts About Granola in York Central Market. Bill has been a drummer since the 70's. (He did rock an afro then, we keep trying to get him to bring that back in stlye) A very well rounded and grounded musician, I think he probably practices our songs more than we do!
I'm a little behind in my comments, it was great seeing you three on Earth Day. Another fantastic show. Love Bongo Billy he is a wonderful addition. Y'all harmonize so unbelievably well, I get chills listening to you. I also love the cd, it's in the truck player right now. Safe travels this summer and I hope to catch up to you on the road somewhere. Peace and hugs, Mike
Indian Summer Jars,
Just stopping in on all of my myspace friends to say hi. I hope all is well for you in life, business and family. Maybe I'll end up playing at that one festival I always see you all at again this summer and catch you there... Thanks for being apart of Ynot Nosnibor myspace. Peace

hey, just stopping by to say hi - hope you're enjoying 2010!
I've got my new single up 'Feel Good' - just the thing to settle into the new year. Magazine reviews are comparing my debut album as a cross between John Mayer and Gavin Degraw. I'm looking for management at the moment. Let me know what you think.
Just spreading some love your way - I hope you enjoyed your new years! PS: the song Feel Good, should make you feel good! Kevin
SARAH KING! when the HELL was your birthday this month? I cannot remember!! But happy freakin' birthday anyway - all the way from Japan! Love you lots, dear! =-) Scorpi HOOO!
