BIOGRAFIA

Indica Sound son: Cañas! & Jahvy. (Miguel Cañete Suárez ,1982 y Javier Montes Moreno, 1980). Miguel, nacido Lucena (Córdoba), es Ingeniero Técnico de Telecomunicaciones especialidad en Sistemas Electrónicos y desarrolla su actividad musical como compositor y productor. Javier, natural de Cabra (Córdoba) tiene formación profesional como especialista en Maquinas Eléctricas y en Realización de Audiovisuales y Espectáculos. Indica Sound se formó en el año 2000 tras varias experiencias en el mundo de la musica, el arte y la producción.Es una Sound System que participa como soporte técnico y dj en numerosos eventos, y hemos podido disfrutar de sus actuaciones por toda España y en Alemania acompañando a artistas como Morodo, Uwe Banton, Yah Meek ,Prince Mike, Little Pepe, Ras Boti, Shabu One Shant, Leroy Onestone ...etc. Sus actuaciones siempre dejan un buen sabor de boca a los espectadores de todas las edades y nacionalidades, que disfrutan de los cantantes y de la selección de mas de 5000 vinilos de roots, new roots y dancehall en formato 7” de las manos de Cañas! y Jahvy mezclados al más puro estilo jamaicano, asi como de sus propias producciones. Son los responsables de las grabaciones de discos promocionales de Ras Boti, Prince Mike, Leroy Onestone, Señor R, Doctor Sweet...

En Noviembre de 2004 liberan su primera produccion, un instrumental llamado "String Riddim" sobre el que participaron artistas como Jagan, Ras Boti, Little Pepe, Leroy Onestone....

En mayo de 2006 Cañas! & Jahvy auto-editan su primer disco recopilatorio de producción propia, llamado "REGGAE IS LIFE!" y esta compuesto por 9 riddims (instrumentales) diferentes sobre los que escribieron sus letras artistas como Ijah , Leroy Onestone, Morodo, Little Pepe, Prince Mike, Ras Boti, Shabu One Shant... Con un total de 19 canciones incluidas y además 4 instrumentales. Todo el disco es producción de Cañas! & Jahvy, incluyendo una version del clasico Revolution Riddim que esta inspirado en el original “Revolution” Escrito por Dennis Emanuel Brown para VP Records en 1985. El recopilatorio es de libre difusión y posee una licencia Creative Commons de tipo Reconocimiento- No Comercial. Depósito Legal: MA-6972006. En Mayo de 2006 inauguran su portal web http://www.indicasound.net , en el que puedes disfrutar y encontrar toda serie de contenidos acerca de Indica Sound: descargas, noticias, agenda, fotos, encuestas....Cabe destacar que encontrareis anteriores producciones de Indica Sound, así como Mixtapes y Dubplates. Al año de su creación, ya habían pasado por este espacio web mas de 500.000 personas de 34 países diferentes y se habían distribuido mas de 50.000 copias del recopilatorio Reggae is Life!, llegando a ser noticia en multitud medios de comunicación web y física por su atractiva difusión de nuevos artistas así como por su alternativa propuesta al actual modelo de la industria discográfica actual.

En Febrero de 2007 son destacados en el Top 10 de creadores españoles en la revista COMPUTER MUSIC y en abril son seleccionados y premiados en el certamen Málaga CASTING 2007 con la grabacion y edicion de tres canciones en un nuevo recopilatorio.

En Julio de 2008 liberan su segundo recopilatorio "REGGAE IS LIFE! Vol.2", Este trabajo, como es costumbre en Cañas! & Jahvy, esta licenciado bajo Creative Commons, en un modelo de licencia que permite al autor distribuir libremente su obra reservándose los derechos de explotación, siempre que se conserven los créditos del autor. En este trabajo continúan promocionando y lanzando al mercado nuevos artistas, como en trabajos anteriores, el recopilatorio es la cúspide de la labor realizada por Indica Sound para reunir en un mismo trabajo a nuevos artistas junto a otros ya conocidos, puesto que en este caso, es a nivel mundial. Participan artistas de 10 países diferentes, España, Alemania, Francia, Bélgica, Nigeria, Isla Granada, Argentina, Perú, Chile y Hawai. Podemos encontrar las colaboraciones de artistas como Pablo Molina, Alika Roots, Osk I Jah, Jagan, Stoneman, David Zion, Leroy Onestone, Raggman, I Mosa, Nigeria, Yasmin, Jack’o Bantan, Prince Mike, Raper One y Señor R, así como jingles de Morodo, Hermano L, Yah Meek, Uwe Banton… El disco está compuesto y producido por Cañas! & Jahvy (Miguel Cañete y Javier Montes) y lo componen cuatro instrumentales sobre los que los artistas han escrito sus letras. En la sección de músicos hay que destacar la participación en el Guía Riddim de Martin Müsch (Sharp Axe Band-Germany) a la batería, Ras Jouqmahi al bajo, Guillermo Marfil a la guitarra, Antonio Perea al trombón y Pedro Juárez al saxo. Mezcla Antonio Jiménez, Miguel Cañete y Javier Montes en la masterización, y para el diseño gráfico Armando Kühlbach. Simultáneamente a la salida de "REGGAE IS LIFE! Vol.2" , Cañas! & Jahvy ofrecen el single de presentación del artista procedente de Palma de Mallorca SEÑOR R, titulado "WILD APACHE", y que esta producido sobre los riddims del recopilatorio. Indica Sound nos ofrece un cóctel de estilo fresco y variado, con influencias Reggae Roots, Ska, Dancehall, Electrónica…..Todo gratis a través de www.indicasound.net y demás plataformas.

En Enero de 2009 producen un nuevo riddim, "Young Star" sobre el que producen "Suffering Children" de DOCTOR SWEET, un nuevo artista en el panorama nacional, con una excelente acogida.

En Mayo de 2009 sale a la venta en CD y MP3 el nuevo Albúm de UWE BANTON titulado "RIGHTFUL PLACE" en el Cañas! & Jahvy participan como productores en "GET ON YOUR FEET", en colaboración con YAH MEEK, desde Jamaica, para MKZWO RECORDS.

Indica Sound was formed in year 2000 in Cordoba after years of experience like instrumentalist, dj' s and like components of Associations and promoters. participates like technical support and dj in numerous events, and we have been able to enjoy his performances in Spanish cities like Madrid, Valencia, Malaga, Cadiz, Granada, Sevilla, Guadalajara, Vigo… and in German cities like Münster, Coesfeld, Ahlen… accompanying to artists like Morodo, Uwe Banton, Yah Meek, Prince Mike, Leroy Onestone, Little Pepe, Ras Boti, Shabu One Shant… etc. Their performances always leave to a good flavor of mouth to the spectators of all the ages and nationalities, that enjoy the singers and the selection of but of 5000 vinyls of Roots, new Roots and dancehall in format 7” of the Cañas! and Jahvy hands mixed to the purest Jamaican style. They are the people in charge of the promotional disc recordings like Ras Boti, Leroy Onestone, Prince Mike, Señor R…

In May of 2006 Cañas! & Jahvy publishes their first disc compilation call "REGGAE IS LIFE!" and this made up of 9 riddims different on which artists like Ijah, Leroy Onestone, Morodo, Ras Boti, Little Pepe , Prince Mike, Shabu One Shant... With a total of 19 songs including and in addition 4 instruments. All the disc is Cañas! & Jahvy production included a version of Revolution Riddim, whose riddim is inspired by the original “Revolution” Written by Dennis Emanuel Brown for VP Record in 1985. In February of 2007 he is outstanding in Top 10 of Spanish creators in the magazine Computer Music and in April they are selected and awarded in the contest Malaga CASTING 2007 with the recording and edition of three songs in a new compilation.

In July 2008 released its second compilation "Reggae is life! Vol.2", this work, as is customary in Cañas! & Jahvy, it..s licensed under Creative Commons, a licensing model that allows the author freely distribute their work while reserving the rights to exploit, provided that they retain the author's claims. They continue promoving and marketing new artists as in the past, the compilation is the pinnacle of the work done by Indica Sound to gather in a single new artists to work together with other well-known, because in this case, is globally. Participating artists from 10 different countries, Spain, Germany, France, Belgium, Nigeria, Grenada Island, Argentina, Peru, Chile and Hawaii. Vol.2", Cañas! & Jahvy offer the single presentation of the artist from Palma de Mallorca Señor R, entitled "Wild Apache", and that this occurred on the compilation of riddims. In May, 2009, is available for sale in CD and MP3 the new Album of UWE BANTON called "RIGHTFUL PLACE" in which Cañas! and Jahvy take a part as producers in "GET ON YOUR FEET", in collaboration with YAH MEEK, from Jamaica, for MKZWO RECORDS.
