Indiens - two native lakota-haitians who have been doing hip hop and performing shows for years. Arohed and Jerm have stepped back from showcasing their skills on stage to focus on the bread and butter of their art..the music. It's been years since their last full album release but Indiens have recently released singles and are preparing to make waves with a new album featuring productions from Soul Theory(Reks, Termanology,with upcoming releases with Nature), Aqueminii Beats, Native Nyne Productionz, and more. Coming back fresh and hitting hard as ever, Indiens are here to keep proving devastation on the mic and can't be faded.
The solo debut from Jerm of Indiens features a wide variety of producers from across the U.S. fueling the the creative and original lyricism found throughout this album. With 11 solid tracks Jerm spits to convey the point of view of a Native American adapted to a modern time. The standout tracks include "No Vest" and "Tribal" both which have received radio spins. This album lives up to the reputation of 'Indiens' while bringing a new sound and bridging the gap between album releases from the group. Definitely take the time to listen to the tracks, each one is a can stand on it's own but together form a masterful work in the 'Native hip hop' genre.
