FMG's Interests
|
| General | Worldwide film distribution. Filmmaking, screenwriting, directing. I am also especially passionate about video editing. Final Cut Pro is a fantastic program once you learn how to use it. But the learning curve is steep, so it takes some time to figure it out. | | Music | Led Zeppelin, Guns n Roses, KISS, Rolling Stones, Meat Loaf, Aerosmith, Rod Stewart, Pink Floyd, Bad Company, Queen | | Movies | The Terminator films,
The Jurassic Park Films,
The Hit List,
Friday the 13th,
Halloween (1978)
Psycho (1961),
The Day the Earth Stood Still,
Horror of Dracula (1958),
The Wolf Man,
Tarantula,
Them!
The Howling
An American Werewolf in London
Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN (Director's cut ONLY) | | Television | Law and Order, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Life, True Blood | | Books | FROM REEL TO DEAL by Dov S.S. Simens, HCD Distributor Directory, CREATIVE PRODUCING FROM A TO Z by Merl Schriebman, FILM AND VIDEO FINANCING by Michael Weise, FILM AND VIDEO BUDGETING by Deke Simon and Michael Weise, RISKY BUSINESS: FINANCING AND DISTRIBUTING INDEPENDENT FILMS by Mark Litwak, Esq. , HOW I MADE A HUNDRED MOVIES IN HOLLYWOOD AND NEVER LOST A DIME by Roger Corman, REBEL WITHOUT A CREW by Robert Rodriguez, THE ULTIMATE FILM FESTIVAL SURVIVAL GUIDE by Chris Gore, THE COMPLETE DVD BOOK by Chris Gore and Paul J. Salamoff. These are the books that taught me what I needed to know to successfully produce, direct, and market an independent feature film. | | Heroes | Roger Corman and Robert Rodriguez, for the same reason - the did it their way, defied conventional Hollywood wisdom, and achieved success when everyone else thought they would fall flat on their faces. You have to respect someone who goes their own way, makes their own rules, and achieves success in a cutthroat industry like the motion picture business. |

FMG's Blurbs |
About me:
I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Texas in the 60's and 70's. I joined the Navy when I graduated high school in 1980. I retired in 2001, having completed a 21 - year career.
Since then, I have pursued my lifelong passion - to make high quality, low budget "B" movies that thrill, chill, frighten, and entertain audiences. In 2005, I wrote, produced, directed, and edited the horror film, DELIRIUM. It is currently out in worldwide DVD release through York Entertainment.
Over the last few years, I have come to believe that film distribution is where I want to concentrate my energies. I will still produce and direct movies of my own, but that will now take second chair to running a profitable film distribution company.
I live and work in San Diego, Ca.
For filmmakers who are looking for distribution for their feature genre projects: check out my new website at http://www.forsakenmediagroup.com
