"It struck me as pretty ridiculous to be called Mr. Darcy and to stand on your own looking snooty at a party. It's like being called Heathcliff and insisting on spending the entire evening in the garden, shouting "Cathy" and banging your head against a tree."
This story is about truth, beauty, freedom; but above all things, this story is about love.
I'm Tilly.
I'm done with high school, and I'm currently living the dream at Phyllis Dawson's Team Windchase in Virginia :D
I hate it when people say, “I’m just me.”
No, you're not. You're a combination of every person you've ever looked up to, admired, or been affected by, positive or negative. It’s usually those people who are the least secure and confident in whom they are who feel the need to advertise their "me-ness" to the world. You can’t describe yourself on a MySpace profile, unless you’re so incredibly vapid and inane that every fragment of your being does, in fact, fit into a paragraph. (Yeah, I realize that there is a LOT of people with whom this statement holds true on this site.)
I like the word “whom.”
I was born in England; I apologize for the Stamp Act. I wasn’t personally present at that Big Meeting Of Brits, but next time I’ll try to make it so we can cut down on the rebellions and riots. Seriously, I’ve been tarred and feathered three times this week! Can’t we all just get along?!
“I personally would like to bring a tortoise onto the stage, turn it into a racehorse, then into a hat, a song, a dragoon and a fountain of water. One can dare anything in the theatre and it is the place where one dares the least.” EUGENE IONESCO
Being on stage makes me happy. Creating a character makes me happy. Singing most definitely makes me happy. I’m no Bernadette Peters or Sarah Bernhardt, but I love what I do and that’s totally enough for me.
I dabble in guitar; mostly acoustic – and I’m not very good at it. If you want to throw a nickel (or a twenty) into my hat, though, feel free!
I draw. I write. I haven’t eaten meat since March 2005. I’m a “journalist.” I know all the words to American Pie. I’ll be your BFF.
But alas, there is undoubtedly one thing more important to me than anything else.
I’m an equestrian.
I’ve been riding since I was three, and there is nothing else I would rather do. It’s more than the ribbons, the glamour, the thrill of riding a big, beautiful animal. It’s the partnership, and the accomplishment, and the blood, sweat, and tears that go into producing both of those things.
There are two very important horses in my life - Danny and TJ. Danny was my first horse, a 15.2hh bay Appie and the goofiest boy you could ever imagine. He's by no means an easy horse and from him, I learned patience, tact, and the value of tenacity. He came down to Virginia with me and in February I sold him to a local woman for trail-riding. It was the right time to part ways and although I miss him every day, I feel really good about the situation.
Tejana - aka TJ - is my ride for the spring. She's an 8-year-old 16hh Thoroughbred mare who was bought off the track and restarted by Phyllis Dawson. She was then sold and has since gone Prelim and done a one-star and a long format event. I'm leasing her until June, although at this point I don't think I'm going to give her back without a fight ;) She's kind of your typical chestnut Thoroughbred mare but she's incredible to ride and can jump ANYTHING.
Best horses ever? I think so :)
exceeeeepptttt.....gotchies is my favorite word.

Once you've been hit, you have to hit fifteen pretty girls.

duuuuuddde. thats crazzzyyy!!! do u dont get paid cash...?? just get paid with training in eventing? thats so sad that u sold Danny... =[[[ i coould NEVER sell pick. i've thought about moving out, and getting a younger & heftier horse. but pick would be staying here with Windy if i did that. i've seen so much bad care in the horse world that i would never trust ANYONE but my mom with him... atleast he'd still be with my parents and Windy, and i'd see him every weekend. but i can hardly go a day without seeing him so idk. ill prolly just live at home until Pick passes. haha that way i'll never leave him. thats crazy tho. does she own some big farm or something?? and u just live with her and take care of her horseS? thats awesome!! im hoping to go to UMO, for Equine Business Management... idk if i told u that yet.
yah, there's a bunch of pics of our new place on here. anyways. i gutta go do chores. keep me updated on ur life!! lol
Everyone on myspace knew I was pregnant, Keri caused a fit because she was like YOUR NOT REALLY PREGNANT, and then I sent her about 6 bajillion ultrasounds and a picture of a FAT belly hahahha. It was funny. But, yeah, I was going to post a picture of her after she was born, but I didn't want to, I thought people might bash me for it, if you'd like to see it, I'll send it to your inbox. I named her Juliet Marlena Bolen. (Marlena is my Oma's name. )
No, I meant it was HER only/first trip to OOB, I've been there a bunch.
I know I didn't really talk to you about being pregnant and stuff, because I didn't know how you would react, and I know that I should know you better than that and be able to trust you. But I took that picture at about 20 weeks. She was stillborn about 2 days after.
omg. u seriousley moved to virginia??? what happened to Danny?!?!
what r u doin down there??! tell me how everyrthing's been goin, n how this all happened!!?? do u have a job? what r u doin for school??

im area 4, i can't decide if i am gonna do novice again or training...i have to talk me my instructor about it. im really not sure if clemmy (the horse i ride) is ready for train. last year was her first year eventing so i would hate to rush her and risk her injuring something! did you do beginner novice last year?
