Was ist immer das gleiche Problem, wenn man mit einem klassischen Reiseführer in einer fremden Stadt ankommt? Man bekommt zwar viele Übernachtungs-, Restaurant- und Sightseeing-Tipps, aber oft ist nur schwer herauszulesen, was davon nur teures und unnötiges Standard-Programm ist und was wirklich ein Geheimtipp ist.
Hier soll der „Indie Travel Guide“ (Rockbuch) endlich Abhilfe schaffen! Über 160 Musiker aus aller Welt geben in zwei Bänden Tipps zu ihren Städten, berichten, wo sie Klamotten shoppen, Platten kaufen, Bier trinken, Bands anschauen und teuer oder günstig essen gehen – eben alles, was man normalerweise nur erfährt, wenn man eine Weile in einer Stadt gelebt hat. Statt Mainstream und Touristenfalle gibt es vernünftige Läden mit vernünftigen Preisen.
Die Bands empfehlen aber nicht nur Stammkneipen, wo sie sich ihre Vintage-Klamotten oder Schuhe besorgen und in welche Clubs und Bars sie am liebsten zum Tanzen oder Chillen gehen. Im „Indie Travel Guide“ verraten sie auch, wo ihr ganz persönlicher Lieblingsplatz in der Stadt ist. Dazu haben sie sich auch mit dem Fotoapparat in ihrer Stadt umgesehen und unzählige Bilder zu ihren Tipps beigesteuert. Die vielen Fotos und von den Künstlern selbst gemalte Stadtansichten und Pläne geben dem Buch eine ganz persönliche Note.
Fazit: Schluss mit langweiligen Bars, Clubs und Läden, die immer gleich aussehen und in jedem Reiseführer stehen. Go Indie Travelling!
