About me:

Indigenous Empowerment Summit - April 16, 17, & 18, 2009

Come join students of Haskell Indian Nations Univeristy in taking a stand and empowering our future by networking, sharing knowledge, promoting indigenous pride, cultural preservation, and support the movements & activism of our people.

Who I'd like to meet:

We want to promote a better future for Indigenous People, as well as promote an understanding and awareness from those who want to learn. There is no finger pointing here, we want to take action...take a stand.

Be the ONE'S who DO rather than the ONES WHO DON'T!

Solidarity-----Networking-----Sharing-----OPENING THE DIALOGUE-----Bringing generations together-----Bringing people together-----Sharing common issues.

OUR VISION: We are students working together to take action and bring more empowerment to Indigenous Peoples. We have our 2nd Annual Indigenous Empowerment Summit event planned for April 16, 17, & 18, 2009.

Our Mission is to promote awareness of sovereignty, leadership, mentorship, opportunities in all areas of academia, activism, business, entertainment & media, and to bring communities of Indigenous Peoples together. This unity will provide a platform for an open dialogue toward the progressive needs of our people. We hope to empower the students to look to the future, learn from mentors, and encourage relationships that will strengthen our indigenous network.
