    .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. INDIGOLAPSED HISTORY Indigolapsed got started when Priit and Tom were living together in a strange and a little bit haunted Oldtown apartment. Soon other young people started gathering, hanging out with them and jamming with all the different instruments on the spot: guitars, accordion, harmonica, Jew’s harp, trombone, darbuka and … Even though there was no system of who plays what, everyone ended up with the instrument they played best. Soon Tom had an idea to give this whole thing some kind of a form or a shape and so the composition was set up as follows: Priit – guitar; Tom – guitar, harmonica, Jew’s harp; Aive – vocals; Juss – percussion. Later came Joosep with his cello, the second singer Lilian and percussionist Mats. That took place in the winter of 2005. Interesting fact about this composition is that part of the band has never studied music and part of it has graduated from Estonian Music Academy and play professionally. WHY INDIGOLAPSED? Tom made up the name Indigolapsed out of the blue and when others heard it they knew right away that this is it. The meaning for themselves doesn’t exactly stand for prodigies with indigo-blue aura, but more for a way of thinking – objective to maintain their inner child, live in happiness and give that same vibe to others. Indigolapsed don’t think that to live your life means to suffer. They believe in looking at things with a child’s eyes, in trying everything that makes you happy and wondering about things with pure curiosity. The best way to describe their mentality might be a line from their song: „If you’re kind, everyone’s kind to you, but not everyone knows yet, that you are kind“. FIRST PUBLIC APPEARANCE AND THE RECORD „VOORIMEHE VIIS“ In the spring of 2005, one day before snow melted, Indigolapsed gave their first interview in one of the most popular radio stations in Estonia – Radio 2. Topic was the song „Lumeingel“ („Snowangel“) that was selected to be the demo of the week by that same radio-station. „Lumeingel“ is one of 17 songs recorded during the year for their first album. Album „Voorimehe viis“ is the first album in Estonia that uses a novel instrument hang. The premiere of the album took place 9th of December, 2006 in the House of Authors in the hall with a black ceiling. The name „Voorimehe viis“ means the address of the Oldtown apartment where some of the band-members still live and have their peculiar candlelight rehearsals.
