I love to write songs and poems and thoughts and stories about my life. I also like to paint (paintings, not walls...unless it's a painting on a wall). I love to read books, but have discovered that I'm rather particular as to authors. I need to learn of some more because I am running out of things that I am excited to read. I am interested in learning to speak Italian.
Music
Patty Griffin; Ryan Adams; Natalie Merchant; Norah Jones; Jars of Clay; Train; Ray LaMontagne; Frank Sinatra; Natalie Cole; Jamie Cullum; The Loft, of course!!
Movies
The Harry Potter movies (please don't laugh); The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe; Dead Poet's Society; Peter Pan; Final Cut
Television
Any CSI (except the blonde chick on Miami really gets on my nerves...she's so smug); NCIS; Any Law & Order; Crossing Jordan--Pretty much if it has to do with crime I like it. Except for Numbers.
Books
Anything by C.S. Lewis; The Wrinkle in Time series by Madeleine L'Engle; anything by Stephen R. Lawhead; Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury; Brave New World by Aldous Huxley; 1984 by George Orwell; and, yes, the Harry Potter books
Heroes
I guess the people I'd like to meet are as close to heroes as I get. I've kind of always been anti-hero. I want to be myself.
About me: To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best day and night to make you like everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight and never stop fighting." -- E.E. Cummings
There's not a lot that is factually exciting about my life, but that I love it. I work for a caterer and a nanny service and a few more random odds and ends here and there, and what I love about that is that I get to work when I want, and not work when I don't want. That's the life for me! I also love my life because I know that God is working in it, and He has taught me incredible things and continues to do so. I feel myself growing, changing, becoming whatever it is I am to become, and that journey is a great adventure.
Based on "The Personality Defect Test" from www.okcupid.com, you are:
Haughty Intellectual You are 57% Rational, 0% Extroverted, 42% Brutal, and 71% Arrogant.
You are the Haughty Intellectual. You are a very rational person, emphasizing logic over emotion, and you are also rather arrogant and self-aggrandizing. You probably think of yourself as an intellectual, and you would like everyone to know it. Not only that, but you also tend to look down on others, thinking yourself better than them. You could possibly have an unhealthy obsession with yourself as well, thus causing everyone to hate you for being such an elitist twat. On top of all that, you are also introverted and gentle. This means that you are just a quiet thinker who wants fame and recognition, in all likelihood. Like so many countless pseudo-intellectuals swarming around vacuous internet forums to discuss worthless political issues, your kind is a scourge upon humanity, blathering and blathering on and on about all kinds of boring crap. If your personality could be sculpted, the resulting piece would be Rodin's "The Thinker"--although I am absolutely positive that you are not nearly as muscular or naked as that statue. Rather lacking in emotion, introspective, gentle, and arrogant, you are most certainly a Haughty Intellectual! And, most likely, you will never achieve the recognition or fame you so desire! But no worries!
Jesus, although I would be afraid; C.S. Lewis - my favorite author, and an insanely wise and humble man; Patty Griffin - she's got to be amazing...no one who writes songs like that could be anything else

Plants are people, too! Err... Well, yeah I'd probably eat plants. And animals, if I could catch them. And people, if I could catch them. Most likely children and the elderly. But hell, I'd have degrees. I'm clearly more valuable than them in the end.
I am doing great....just got a new job...working out....losing weight..being healthy basically I am the exact opposite of the person I was this time last year. I have learned the difference between fun and genuine happiness. It is a good thing to know.
