I'm not a sociopath, but I'm very prone to "antisocial" behavior.
Other people's opinions matter very little to me. I live my own fringe life - for better or worse.
First and foremost my interests include women! Other interests (but not necessarily in the order that they appear are: food (cooking & eating!); fine wine (especially Australian reds!); traveling (motorbiking my preferred method); trekking; swimming; surfing; rain-forests; nature; wildlife.
I enjoy all types and genres EXCEPT punk and (nearly all) country!
Movies
Must be humorous ... action ... or epic style ... humorous includes "Bedazzled" (Liz Hurley was smashing!) ... or "Life of Brian" with the Monty Python gang! Epics include "Barry Lyndon" ... "Braveheart" ... and action like: the "Transporter"/"Transporter II", "Danny the Dog", "Leon" and "Crank".
Television
Don't watch so much ... the choices in India are not that great! So, I occasionally scrutinise HBO, AXN, BBC, CNN & NatGeo.
Books
My most popular styles of literature are books that are written with a historical or factual content (with a few fictional characters) ... for example: "Shogun" by James Clavell (a 3 book epic story of a shipwrecked British sailor in Japan during the feudal reign of the shoguns); or "The Luck of Huemac" by Prof Peter Daniels (an epic novel based in ancient Mexica .. dealing with the lives of the Aztecs, Toltecs & Mixtecs pre-Cortez); or "Heiro's Journey" by Sterling Lanier (a post apocolyptic story 1000 years from now); or the "Dune Trilogy" by Frank Herbert (futuristic epic tale of interplanetary space travel/wars etc); or various novels by Leon Uris including "Trinity", "QE-II" and "Exodus". I also have a passion for poetry and mystic literature.
Heroes
The infamous PATOMAN! ... Forget Superman/Batman/Spiderman!! ;-)
I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
I'm so quirky, it's hard for me to tell the difference between quirky and normal!
No doubt about it, there's little about me that's "normal" or "average."
A rolling stone ... traveling through the Himalayas on my Royal Enfield "Bullet" motorbike ... Just recently returned from Ladakh (an ancient part of Tibet) ... what a fascinating adventure spanning 2500 kms traveling over the highest motorable passes on the planet! Then another journey through some of the oldest parts of India ... the Rajasthan desert, with it's colourful tribes, camels, unique architecture and fascinating festivals - I live life to the fullest ... "carpe diem"!! - I've been hanging out here in North India since year 2000 ... speak Hindi quite well now! Run my own business here called "INDOEURO" Consultants involved in education and immigration services. I keep an office in New Delhi (India's capital city) and a second office in Shimla (the capital city of the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh).
I am an Excellent Cook
I'm a top cook, but I wasn't born that way. It's taken a lot of practice, a lot of experimenting, and a lot of learning.
It's likely that I have what it takes to be a top chef, should I have the desire...
I've sometimes been accused of being a flirt and a womaniser! Okay, okay ... Unashamedly ... I admit it!
I love women! Lots of women! And it has been my great fortune in life to have been loved by lots of them also!

The greatest achievement is selflessness. The greatest worth is self-mastery. The greatest quality is seeking to serve others. The greatest precept is continual awareness. The greatest medicine is the emptiness of everything. The greatest action is not conforming with the worlds ways. The greatest magic is transmuting the passions. The greatest generosity is non-attachment. The greatest goodness is a peaceful mind. The greatest patience is humility. The greatest effort is not concerned with results. The greatest meditation is a mind that lets go. The greatest wisdom is seeing through appearances. Atisha Have a Peaceful weekend Vic~
I hope you are having a peaceful weekend Vic:)~Sending Love Always~Barbara
RUE - Yellow-greenish flowers - Ruta graveolens L. It facilitates the emergence of Willpower for the construction of a harmonious, prosperous and peaceful life, exercising our free will and protecting our physical, psychic and spiritual space. It sets boundaries, balances and strengthens the individuality and the Willpower of the solar qualities of the Soul, while assisting the Ego in attuning and aligning with these positive Soul qualities to strengthen itself and develop a strong and positive Self. This movement facilitates the alignment and the cure of those aspects in ourselves that identify with destructive, self-destructive and aggressive feelings and its negative effects in our relationships. This Flower Essence is extremely important for those who, in a relationship, allow other people’s will to dominate their own, leading them to engage in self-destructive behaviors, or to allow negative influences to enter their lives, whether they come from the spiritual, astral, psychic worlds or from their personal relationships.
This existance of ours is as transient as autumn clouds. To watch the birth and death of beings is like looking at the movements of a dance. A lifetime is like a flash of lightning in the sky. Rushing by, like a torrent down a steep mountain.

"All the peace and happiness of the whole globe, the peace and happiness of societies, the peace and happiness of family, the peace and happiness in the individual persons' life, and the peace and happiness of even the animals and so forth, all depends on having loving kindness toward each other." Lama Zopa Rinpoche
Hi Vic. Hope things are great in India. Sending Love Always~Barbara
“An analogy for bodhichitta is the rawness of a broken heart. Sometimes this broken heart gives birth to anxiety and panic, sometimes to anger, resentment, and blame. But under the hardness of that armor there is the tenderness of genuine sadness. This is our link with all those who have ever loved. This genuine heart of sadness can teach us great compassion. It can humble us when we’re arrogant and soften us when we are unkind. It awakens us when we prefer to sleep and pierces through our indifference. This continual ache of the heart is a blessing that when accepted fully can be shared with all. ”

I hope you are doing well Vic...

Hello Vic. Have a great weekend...sending Love always, Barbara
There is a Tibetan saying,"Retain your reverence and admiration for the person, but subject the writing to thorough critical analysis. "
This demonstrates a healthy attitude and illustrates the Buddhist tradition known as the approach of the four reliances.
Do not rely merely on the person, but on the words.
Do not rely merely on the words, but on their meaning.
Do not rely merely on the provisional meaning, but on the definitive meaning, and,
Do not rely merely on the intellectual understanding, but on the direct experience.
The future of the indie music world post-Person Pitch/Merriweather Post Pavilion? We might just be seeing/hearing it in young (freshman at IU) Bloomington, Indiana-based Spirit Spine. (My Old Kentucky Blog)
Spirit Spine spreads his hands with a smile, and between them stretch neon coloured wills o’ the wisps which are arranged around your room most delicately to create a tunnel of halos which ends at a glimmering gate in your ceiling, if you slide inside this path and levitate past the gate you will find yourself standing not in the sad mess of your neighbours’ flat above, but on top of a warm mesa from which you can behold an orgy of orange and red as twin suns set over an alien landscape of ravishing beauty. This is the sound of Panda Bear if he was into Arthur C. Clarke instead of Walt Whitman. (20 Jazz Funk Greats)
Winter Solstice ... once again the darkest day on earth. Now we can look forward to each day for the next 6 months to be a lil brighter than the day before.
