TANNING
FACTS
Facilities in Florida must
be licensed.
Minors under the age of 18
years mush have the signature of a parent or legal guardian to us an
indoor tanning device.
An adult must accompany
children under the age of 14 in order to use a tanning device.
You mush wear protective
eyewear that has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration. FAILURE TO USE PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR CAN RESULT IN
SEVERE BURNS OR LONG-TERM INJURY TO THE EYES.
Tanning facility operators
must be certified through a course approved by the Florida Department
of Health.
Allow 48 hours between
sessions to obtain a base tan, and once or twice per week to maintain
appearance.
Always follow the
recommended tanning schedule provided by the manufacturer.
Ask questions before
tanning.
Common cold medications,
antibiotics, pain relievers, and foods have side effects associated
with the tanning process.
