Paul's Comedian Bio
|
| Bio | "Tylak is, arguably, the most naturally talented character-comedian Ireland has ever produced…a one-man Fast Show"-Brian Boyd, The Irish Times.
"Tylak is possessed of a mercurial versatility...or else he’s just possessed"-Theo Dorgan, The Arts Show, RTE.
Paul Tylak, co-creator, writer, and star of the IFTA winning TV series "STEW", began with a small role in "The Name of The Father" and two brief appearances in "Father Ted". He plays Mick McCarthy on the CD of the smash-hit Comedy Opera "I KEANO".
A core member of the Dublin Comedy Improv, he’s performed with cast members of The Simpsons, The Drew Carey Show, Saturday Night Live, and Who’s line is it Anyway?
Paul does most of the voices on the hit BBC cartoon, Skunk Fu, and the recent 3D animation movie and TV series "The Ugly Duckling and Me".
Here’s what the critics said about STEW:
"Stew is that rarest of beasts, a very funny Irish comedy show"-Paul Whitington, Irish Independent.
"A deliciously deranged slice of surrealism…there are some sublime flashes of genius in Stew"-Ian O’Doherty, Irish Independent.
"A substantial repast for starving Irish comedy fans...by crediting it’s audience with working brains, Stew plays for bigger and better laughs"-Liam Fay, Sunday Times.
When not sitting down writing for TV, Film and Radio, Paul can be found standing up, in his natural habitat, the standup comedy curcuits of Ireland, Britain and the US.
